Thank you for being a part of Game Bloom: an educational workshop about adolescent girls and assigned females at birth on Performing in Puberty. The aim of this workshop is to improve knowledge on female health, sport performance and how to best support girls playing sport during the adolescent years.
Workshop Details:
- Date: Tuesday 26th May
- Time: 5:30 pm- 7pm (Arrive 5:15 pm)
- Location: Clubrooms, Kelevdon
- Duration: ~ 2 hours
- RSVP by Friday 22nd May
The workshop will cover various aspects including but not limited to:
- Background of females in football
- The social environment and its influence on girls participation in sport
- Sports performance: Including recovery, injury risk reduction, and injury management.
- Understanding puberty: We will provide information on all the changes associated with puberty
- Female Health: Menstrual cycle, pelvic floor, breast health and injury
- How we can make a change within our role and beyond.
Current research shows a high drop out rate of adolescence playing organised sport, particularly for girls.The future goal is to understand this topic better in order to improve the retention rate of girls playing sport.

- Our team members are trained in safeguarding practices specific to sports settings, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment for all participants.
