    Location: Charlottesville, Virginia, and surrounding counties

    Registration Fee: $400

    IMAGE TIPS: You will need a total of THREE images (no more) of representative work. Please make sure that all file names include your last name and first initial. For example: BrownT1 (etc) ALSO - Please note which image you’d like used as your signature image. If you do not choose, we will choose for you.

    We also request that you share images of your studio, you at work, interactive images, etc. for social media and publicity materials including the brochure. Please label them with your last name and first initial and use the word publicity. For example BrownTpublicity1 (etc.)

    All images must be high resolution, with a minimum 300dpi at print size of 4x6.

  • Do you want us to use your name or your business name for promotional materials?*
  • The emerging artisan program offers support to those artisans who are 18 years of age or older, have been in business for less than three years, is far into the development of their work and is planning to be a professional artisan, but has little show experience. For those who quality we offer a reduced fee of $100 for the first year and $200 for the second year. You must be invited by a current exhibiting tour artisan who will be your mentor.

  • Studio Placement:

    Any participating artisan may be a guest in a host studio on the Tour. The Tour Planning Committee will determine host and artisan placement.

  • Local Artisans - Are you open to overnight hosting out of town artisans?
  • Each artisan will be represented in promotional materials by one signature image of their choice. Images on the Tour brochure and website appear fairly small, but our print ads, as well as various media publications, often call for larger images. High quality images are an important part of the promotion of the Tour.

  • The Tour is planned and operated through a cooperative effort of the exhibiting artisans. All artisans must pitch in to make it succeed. It is funded by artisan fees and by artisan solicited sponsors. Three planning meetings are held in Charlottesville for those who can attend. General Tour communication is done online through Groups.io. Artisans must join Groups.io to stay abreast of Tour information and to participate in decision-making. Tech help is available.
