W.O.W. Best In Show Dog Competition

4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Held in the large green space area across from Ghost Tree Brewing Company

 

ELIGIBILITY

·        All dogs MUST be at least 6 months old by the date of the competition (7/8)

·        All dogs must be:

         o   Up to date on vaccinations

         o   Free from contagious illness

         o   Non-aggressive toward people and other dogs

·        Owners/handlers (18 & over) must sign a liability waiver at check-in

·        Check in 5PM-5:30PM - Best In Show will be announced at 7:30PM

·        Dogs may only be entered in ONE CLASS SIZE

·        Only one (1) handler per dog

·        One entry per dog

·        NO FLEX LEADS/EXPANDABLE LEASHES WILL BE PERMITTED AND WILL BE GROUNDS FOR DISQUALIFICATION

JUDGING

·        Dogs will be evaluated by 3 judges using a number system on the following attributes

        o   Appearance and Grooming/Best Haircut (Possible 25 Points)

        o   Agility Course (Possible 25 points)

        o   Most Patriotic Dog and Handler (Possible 25 points)

        o   Best Trick (Possible 25 points)

*First Place winners in each class will advance to the final round to determine W.O.W.'s Best In Show

By signing below, the applicant verifies that he/she has read, understands, and agrees to all of the information on this form:

GENERAL RELEASE AND ACCEPTANCE OF RULES AND REGULATIONS: I/we, the undersigned applicant(s) have read and understand the rules and agree to abide by said rules. In addition, the applicant(s) do expressly release the Walking on Wednesday’s Committee, Main Street Amherst, and the ADBA and their assigns from all liability for injury, damage or loss to persons or property. I/we hereby agree to the enforcement of all rules and regulations of the event as set forth in this application and to ensure that all persons in my employ understand and abide by said rules throughout the course of the event. Vendors are responsible for the following state and county food regulations. “In consideration of the ability to sell goods under the organized event known as Main Street Amherst Farmers Market, the undersigned vendor (the “Vendor”) agrees to indemnify and hold harmless from any and all liability rising from claims brought against the organizers of the Main Street Amherst Farmers Market (including the related costs to defend those claims, including reasonable attorney fees) which arise from the Vendors activities related to the sale of good, the actual sale of goods, and any damage to the premises the Vendor causes. The Vendor assumes all liability and responsibility for its conduct and goods”.
