COVID
All events are held either outdoors or virtually and have social distancing options. Masks are not required but are encouraged when not social distancing, or anytime.
GEAR
Before we start the series we will help you acquire the best gear for your budget. We will help connect you to new and/or used gear and guide you through getting exactly what you need for your surf journey. The idea is that you acquire your own gear for consistent use in your new surfing practice! And you learn best practices for how to manage and take care of it.
The gear needed is a board with a leash, a wetsuit and booties. We have limited sizes of new and used wetsuits for sliding scale $30-$250. Boards and suits can often be found on craigslist, facebook marketplace, or offer up. Again we will help you through the process of getting the gear you need. You can anticipate spending ~$80- $1000 depending on how new and top shelf you want your gear to be.
PARTIAL PARTICIPATION
While participants are encouraged to come to every session, we understand that some homos might need to miss a day or two. That is fine. Full participation will make for the most cohesive progression through the program, however missing a day or two will not inhibit meaningful participation, connection and growth. Sorry, no discounts given for partial participation and the cost remains the same.
EXPERIENCE
This program is scaffolded for all beginner surfers. No prior experience is needed, and if you have some experience that’s great too. Individual attention and instruction provided to give everyone guidance toward progression.
CANCELATION POLICY
Cancel before April 30th for a full refund, minus $40 processing fee. After April 30th, a refund is given if your spot is filled.
