The Blue Bus Project | LIC Arts Open 2026

The Blue Bus Project is opening its outdoor studio on Vernon Blvd during LIC Arts Open and inviting artists to lead workshops.

This is an opportunity to share your work directly with the LIC community in an open, participatory setting. We’re looking for artists of all disciplines interested in creating hands-on, accessible, and engaging experiences.

What we provide:
• Outdoor space on Vernon Blvd
• Tables and chairs
• Access to Materials for the Arts

Workshops:
Workshops are donation-based. The community will be invited to contribute. Artists are also welcome to share or sell their work during their session.

Schedule:
Saturday, May 16 — 12–6 PM (3 workshop slots)
Sunday, May 17 — 12–6 PM (3 workshop slots)

Each workshop is 2 hours

Acceptance notification: April 28, 2026

Artists are responsible for managing their own workshop. Assistants are recommended.

We look forward to creating an open, shared space for making and connecting.

Your fee will enable us to mount a successful publicity campaign, and help to offset staffing and materials costs during the event.

You also allow LIC ARTS OPEN to use your name, pictures and/or logo as part of festival advertisement or publication and that you hold copyright to said materials.

Entries can be submitted by this online form only, and applications must be received by midnight on the date of the deadline.
