Open Call for exhibition during the LIC Arts Open:
Collective Pulse - A Collaboration between Studio 34 Artists & Local Artists
curated by Alice Lipping
This group exhibition, at the Studio 34 Gallery, curated by Alice Lipping, brings together a diverse selection of artists connected to the Long Island City community. The show highlights both Studio 34 artists and independent creatives, including those without dedicated studio space, offering an inclusive platform for a range of voices and practices.
The exhibition emphasizes experimentation, material exploration, and personal expression across mediums. By presenting work in a shared environment, the show fosters dialogue between artists and invites viewers to engage with contemporary art in an accessible and community-driven context.
About the Curator:
Alice Lipping is a New York City–based artist and curator whose work bridges creative practice and community engagement. As the founder and curator of the Brick Wall Gallery at Bar Dalia in Astoria, she has spent the past four years producing rotating exhibitions that highlight local and emerging artists.
She has also curated exhibitions at Studio 34 for the past 10 years, supporting both resident artists and those without studio space by providing inclusive opportunities to exhibit their work. Her curatorial vision prioritizes accessibility and connection—creating platforms where artists can share their work and audiences can engage with art in relaxed, social environments.
Through her exhibitions and programming, she fosters a sense of community while expanding access to the arts for a broader range of artists and viewers.
