Performer Membership Agreement
Legacy Music: Utah County Choir and Orchestra
This Membership Agreement is entered into by and between Legacy Music: Utah County Choir and Orchestra (referred to as "Legacy Music" or "The Organization") and the undersigned performer (referred to as "Performer" or "Member").
1. Membership Status and Fees
By signing this agreement, the Performer acknowledges and agrees to the following:
Membership Fee: A non-refundable $25.00 membership fee is required for participation in the current season. This fee covers administrative costs and operational expenses for the ensemble.
Performance Status: Participation is contingent upon the payment of the membership fee and, where applicable, the successful completion of a placement audition.
Non-Employment: The Performer is a member of a community ensemble and is not an employee, independent contractor, or agent of Legacy Music. The Performer is not entitled to wages, compensation, or employee benefits.
2. Musical Commitment and Attendance
The Performer agrees to dedicate their time and musical talents for the Summer Season, performing at the "Pioneer and Patriots" concert. This commitment includes:
Rehearsals: Attending all scheduled rehearsals. If an absence is unavoidable, the Performer must notify their Section Leader and Stage Manager(s) as far in advance as possible.
Promptness: Arriving on time and prepared. Rehearsals start promptly at 4:00 PM (Choir) and 6:00 PM (Orchestra). Members should be in their seats with materials ready prior to the start time.
Performances: Attending all mandatory performances and dress rehearsals as outlined in the provided schedule.
Musical Preparation: Committing to learning all assigned musical parts independently outside of rehearsal time.
3. Code of Conduct
As a representative of Legacy Music, the Performer agrees to a high standard of conduct:
Respect: Treating all fellow members, directors, staff, and audience members with courtesy.
Etiquette: Remaining focused and quiet during rehearsals, especially when the director is speaking.
Concert Attire: Adhering to the specified concert attire for all performances.
Health and Safety: Following all health and safety guidelines implemented by Legacy Music.
4. Music and Materials
Music Acquisition: Performers are responsible for the music that will provided. Performers will be required to pay a $10 fine for music that is damaged or lost.
Required Materials: All participants must provide a BLACK 3-RING BINDER for organizing scores.
Personal Equipment: Performers are responsible for their own instruments and personal musical equipment.
5. Release and Media Consent
The Performer grants Legacy Music permission to use their name, image, and voice in photographs, videos, or other media captured during rehearsals and performances for promotional, marketing, and archival purposes during the season.
6. Assumption of Risk
The Performer acknowledges that participation in musical rehearsals and performances carries certain inherent risks and willingly assumes all such risks associated with their participation.
7. Termination of Agreement
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time with written notice. Registration fees remain non-refundable. Legacy Music reserves the right to dismiss a Performer for failure to adhere to the terms of this contract or for conduct detrimental to the ensemble.
