Spring Tea:
A lovely assortment of delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with cream and jam, and a variety of bite-sized sweets. Served with a selection of hot teas, this is a time to gather, visit, and enjoy one another’s company before Pastor Jamie shares an uplifting message.
Speaker: Pastor Jamie Burns
Pastor Jamie Burns lives out her life mission: “to inspire and teach others to bring glory to God through the arts.” Her deep love for Jesus shapes everything she does, and she carries a contagious passion for encouraging others in their walk with Him. Jamie is energized by all things creative—painting, singing, playing guitar and violin—and she finds refreshment in the beauty of God’s creation, especially mountain views and colorful skies.
Jamie is a graduate of Milligan College, where she earned her BFA in Visual Art, and she later received her Master of Arts in Teaching from ETSU. She taught art for two years before stepping away to be home with her children for nearly eight years. She then returned to the classroom, teaching art at Providence Academy for another eight years. In October 2024, Jamie and her husband, Andrew, stepped into their calling as the new Lead Pastors of Cornerstone Church.
Originally from Lebanon, VA, Jamie moved to Johnson City to attend Milligan and has called Cornerstone home for the past 25 years. She has served faithfully in many roles, including 23 years on the worship team, Cornerstone Little Kids Director, and Youth Pastor alongside Pastor Andrew. Jamie and Andrew have three children—Annalise (17), Ian (14), and Carina (11)—who bring joy, laughter, and a steady stream of creative inspiration to their home.
Pastor Jamie will be sharing “Deeply Rooted.”
