An immersive four-day camp hosted at Montgomery Bell Academy, focused on jazz theory and improvisation. Students of all levels are welcome — from true beginners to advanced players, led by outstanding jazz educators and specialists on every instrument.

Every level has a home here — come as you are and leave playing better.

What You'll Learn

🎵 Music Theory for Jazz Practical harmony and theory connected directly to your instrument and the music you're playing.	🎙️ Improvisation & Ear Training Learn to play what you hear. The core of the camp — finding your voice and learning to express it.
🎷 Instrument Masterclasses Small-group sessions with specialists on every instrument, focused on technique and jazz vocabulary.	🎶 Playing Together Ensemble playing, listening, and the art of musical conversation — the heart of jazz.

Recordings help us place you in the right group but they are not required to register. If you'd like, upload an audio or video recording of one of the following options:

 

1) Record yourself singing or playing 2 choruses of a blues in F, OR 2 choruses on rhythm changes in Bb. 

2) Record yourself performing a jazz standard of your choice.

 

Feel free to submit both options if you prefer! Phone recordings are completely fine.

Payment in full will required by May 15th, 2026 in order to guarantee your student's place at camp.
