• Scrape Painting with Mandalas

    Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 10am-12pm at Aplomb Gallery, 262 Central Ave, Dover, NH. We will begin by creating a soft, expressive background using scrape painting techniques. By layering and dragging paint across the surface, they will explore texture, color blending, and movement while embracing an abstract, intuitive process. Once the background is complete, students will design and add a mandala over their painting. Focusing on balance, repetition, and radial symmetry, they will use line and pattern to create contrast against the loose, organic background.This project combines freeform expression with structured design, the mission is to explore the relationship between spontaneity and control while creating a calm, visually striking spring-inspired piece.
