Join instructor Ashley C, at Umpqua Valley Arts' The Clay Place for a new ceramics workshop!!

Just in time for beautiful May flowers, this workshop celebrates the humble vase. Instructor Ashley Cluver will guide students through handbuilding skills to explore different shapes and styles of vases for both live and dried flowers. Projects will range from minimalist, open-style, vase forms to wall hanging sconces, and flower frogs. Students will be able to make up to 3 pieces, and will have up to three different glaze options to choose from. All three pieces will be glazed in that color. Staff will kiln fire the work and glaze it for them in-house. Pick-up will be available roughly 2-3 weeks after the workshop.

Suggested for students ages 15 and up, no experience is necessary. Cost of class includes all instruction and materials.

Standards of Conduct
Students, visitors and staff are expected to maintain a standard of behavior conductive to the community spirit of learning and working at the Umpqua Valley Arts (UVA). Any individual in violation of these standards will not be allowed to continue classes and any remaining tuition will be forfeited. UVAA reserves the right to refuse enrollment as deemed appropriate by any staff member.
Special Needs & Artwork
Special Needs - If a student has a special need or requires accommodation, including, if applicable, any allergies or dietary restrictions, please notify the UVA staff.Artwork - UVA is not responsible for any artwork unclaimed for more than 30 days after final day of each class, workshop, or camp. Student artwork may be disposed of if not claimed by the 30th day after discontinuance. UVA will make every effort to contact via email/phone within the 30-day time frame. option 2

Refund Policy
Payment and Refund Policy: Full payment at time of registration is required. Up until two weeks prior to the start of the event, you will receive a full refund (minus a $10 service charge) should you need to cancel your registration. However, cancellations made after this two-week time frame are nonrefundable. Should UVA cancel the event, all participants will receive a full refund or credit toward future classes.
