Tuesdays & Thursdays, April 7th - 30th from 5:30pm - 8:30pm with a glaze day on Saturday, May 16th from 5:30pm-8:30pm

Join instructor Megan Perry, at Umpqua Valley Arts' The Clay Place for this beginner ceramic class!!

In this class, Megan Perry will cover all the basics of wheel throwing from clay wedging and centering to pulling for taller pieces and how to create dynamic shapes. She will guide students through various projects and shapes such as cylinders, bowls, curved vases, and plates. Additional details like trimming, combining forms, and surface decoration will help bring your pieces to life. With these skills, students can also use studio time to focus on their particular areas of interest and get lots of practice to hone their skills.

This class is a great skill building opportunity for beginning artists, but is open to students of all skill levels.

Suggested for students ages 15 and up, no experience is necessary. Cost of class includes all instruction and materials.

Standards of Conduct
Students, visitors and staff are expected to maintain a standard of behavior conductive to the community spirit of learning and working at the Umpqua Valley Arts (UVA). Any individual in violation of these standards will not be allowed to continue classes and any remaining tuition will be forfeited. UVAA reserves the right to refuse enrollment as deemed appropriate by any staff member.

Special Needs - If a student has a special need or requires accommodation, including, if applicable, any allergies or dietary restrictions, please notify the UVA staff.Artwork - UVA is not responsible for any artwork unclaimed for more than 30 days after final day of each class, workshop, or camp. Student artwork may be disposed of if not claimed by the 30th day after discontinuance. UVA will make every effort to contact via email/phone within the 30-day time frame. option 2

Refund Policy
Payment and Refund Policy: Full payment at time of registration is required. Up until two weeks prior to the start of the event, you will receive a full refund (minus a $10 service charge) should you need to cancel your registration. However, cancellations made after this two-week time frame are nonrefundable. Should UVA cancel the event, all participants will receive a full refund or credit toward future classes.
