Faith Movement CIO Code of Conduct for Participants
The Faith Movement is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all its members. It seeks to offer a positive experience for those attending conferences.
Conference participants should, therefore, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others. They should share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of a Faith Movement Event with the Adult Leaders of that Event.
All those attending conferences are expected to:
· Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of age, gender, ability, social class, race, cultural background, religious beliefs or sexual identity;
· Be supportive and committed to other group members;
· Be respectful, helpful and trustworthy;
· Respect group leaders/helpers and accept their decisions;
· Refrain from bullying; this includes bullying using any form of social media;
· Refrain from violent or aggressive behaviour;
· Refrain from the use of bad language.
· Report inappropriate behaviour;
· Use social media responsibly;
· Refrain from taking or distributing images or recordings of anyone without their permission;
· Refrain from redistributing messages, images or e-mails without permission of the original sender;
· Refrain from posting anything online that may damage the reputation of the Faith Movement;
· Immediately report any unpleasant or inappropriate material or messages or anything that makes you feel
uncomfortable;
· Keep to allocated rooms;
· Refrain from smoking or vaping inside any of the buildings;
· Refrain from taking non-prescribed or illegal drugs;
· Refrain from purchasing alcohol if under the age of 18;
· Refrain from purchasing alcohol for anyone under the age of 18;
· Respect the curfew set for the event;
· Restrict the use of mobile phones during talks to note taking only;
· Be punctual and respectful at talks and events in the chapel;
