I, Participant, understand that participation in a demolition derby is inherently dangerous and involves significant risks, including but not limited to: Vehicle collisions, Mechanical failure, Fire or explosion, Flying debris, Bodily injury, permanent disability, paralysis, or death, Damage to personal property. I knowingly and freely assume all risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the Released Parties (defined below), and assume full responsibility for my participation. In consideration of being permitted to participate, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue: Mineral County, Sponsors, Event Staff, or Volunteers (collectively referred to as "Released Parties") from any and all liability, claims, demands, losses, or damages arising out of or related to any injury, disability, death, or property damage, whether caused by negligence or otherwise. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims brought against them by or on behalf of me or any third party arising out of my participation. I authorize emergency medical treatment if necessary and accept full responsibility for any associated costs. I certify that my vehicle meets all event safety requirements. I am solely responsible for the mechanical condition of my vehicle. I have inspected my vehicle and equipment prior to competition. I agree to wear all required safety gear. Failure to comply may result in disqualification. I certify that I am physically and mentally fit to participate and am not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. I grant permission to Mineral County to use photographs or video of me taken during the event for promotional purposes.
