What you can win:

• Qualifying ribbons for all qualifying runs
• 1st-4th placement ribbons for each individual game
• 1st-3rd place league medals for top City Ratter and Country Ratter dogs overall (must compete in all games of a type to be eligible - Madd Ratter excluded)

Two ways to participate to maximize flexibility (you can also mix & match them):

*All City Rat game results will be reported as official Happy Ratters runs for all dogs registered with the national organization. (Get your HR number at www.happyratters.com.) With Country Rat games, City Sniffers is piloting this league format as part of explorations about forming a new games-focused organization. If this endeavor does gain traction, any qualifying runs and points earned during our pilot games leagues will be recorded with the NEW entity at no additional/future cost. Thus during this pilot period, Country Rat runs are slightly discounted due to the lack of a recording fee.

Event Waiver

1) I represent that I am the legal owner of the registered dog(s) and I assume all risks, dangers, and responsibility for injuries to the named dog(s). I understand and agree that I am solely responsible for any harm to my dog(s) while on the premises of City Sniffers Dog Sports Training.

2) PHOTO AND VIDEO RELEASE: I agree to allow City Sniffers Dog Sports Training to use my dog's name and any image, likeness, or recording of my dog taken while in a class, lesson, workshop, seminar, fun run/mock trial, or other event, in any form, for use at any time, in any media, marketing, advertising, illustration, trade or promotional materials without compensation, and I release to City Sniffers Dog Sports Training all rights that I may possess or claim to such image, likeness, recording, etc.

3) RELEASE OF LIABILITY: I understand and agree that neither City Sniffers Dog Sports Training owners, nor any of their employees, staff, or volunteers will be liable for any illness, injury, death, and/or escape of my dog(s) provided that reasonable care and precautions are followed, and I hereby release City Sniffers Dog Sports Training and all staff or volunteers thereof of any liability of any kind whatsoever arising from or as a result of my dog(s) attending training or events at the City Sniffers MacArthur Building.

I further release City Sniffers Dog Sports Training and all agents, officers, sub-contractors and employees thereof from any and all liabilities, and otherwise, for injuries to myself, my dog, or any other property of mine, which arise in any way from services and/or products provided by or as a consequence of our association.

4) PERSONAL PROPERTY: I understand that I am solely responsible for any harm caused by my dog(s), including to any other dog(s), to the employees, volunteers, or invitees of City Sniffers Dog Sports Training, or to the equipment, facilities, or other property of City Sniffers Dog Sports Training. I further agree that City Sniffers Dog Sports Training shall not be responsible or liable for any lost or damaged personal property belonging either to myself or my dog.

5) RIGHT OF REFUSAL: City Sniffers Dog Sports Training reserves the right to refuse admittance to any dog displaying aggression to spectators or staff. The determination shall be made at the sole discretion of City Sniffers Dog Sports Training.

6) FULL FORCE AND EFFECT: I further understand and expressly agree that each and every of the foregoing provisions contained in paragraphs 1-5 shall be in force and effect and shall apply to each and every occasion on which my dog(s) are on the property of City Sniffers Dog Sports Training. This agreement shall remain in full force and effect as between the parties until and unless otherwise cancelled or superseded by a writing signed by both parties.

I HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS "WAIVER AND RELEASE" AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY. I EXPRESSLY AGREE TO RELEASE AND DISCHARGE MEGAN RENNER, CITY SNIFFERS DOG SPORTS TRAINING, AND ALL OF THEIR AFFILIATES, MANAGERS, MEMBERS, AGENTS, ATTORNEYS, STAFF, VOLUNTEERS, REPRESENTATIVES, FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS OR CAUSES OF ACTION AND I AGREE TO VOLUNTARILY GIVE UP OR WAIVE ANY RIGHT THAT I OTHERWISE HAVE TO BRING A LEGAL ACTION AGAINST MEGAN RENNER AND/OR CITY SNIFFERS DOG SPORTS TRAINING FOR PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.

To the extent that statute or case law does not prohibit releases for ordinary negligence, this release is also for such negligence on the part of Megan Renner and/or City Sniffers Dog Sports Training, and their agents and employees.

I, THE UNDERSIGNED PARTICIPANT, AFFIRM THAT I AM OF THE AGE OF 18 YEARS OR OLDER, AND THAT I AM FREELY SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT. I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT, THAT I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENT, THAT I AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ITS TERMS AND CONDITIONS, AND THAT THIS RELEASE CANNOT BE MODIFIED ORALLY. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT AND THAT I AM SIGNING OF MY OWN FREE WILL.

Facility Policies

*Designated potty areas are the green areas in front (west side) of the building, and the large lot on the north side of the building.
*You MUST pick up after your dogs -- dog waste buckets are posted outside access doors.
*Dogs must be on leash when entering the building; no socializing with other dogs.
*Dogs may only be off leash during their turns in the fenced rings.
*Dogs must go in crates between runs; you may bring your own travel crate, use the community crating provided, or crate out of your car.
*To prevent disruptive/excessive barking: handlers are encouraged to bring Kongs, lick mats or snuffle mats to keep dogs busy during their downtime.

Equipment Policies (aligned with Happy Ratters rules)

• Collars: Prong*, choke, pinch, and/or electric collars are not allowed in the staging area or on the way from staging area to the ring. Martingale collars and collar/leash combos are allowed.
• Leashes: No flexi/retractable leashes either on the property or in the building.
• Dogs may wear only a flat buckle or snap collar during their runs, with no dangling attachments. Dogs should be brought to the ring with equipment that can be easily and quickly removed and replaced.

*Special note: While covered prongs are allowed in training and at Barn Hunt trials, they are NOT allowed inside Happy Ratters trial venues.

Event Registration Policies

Missed Events (including No Shows)
City Sniffers does not refund or credit accounts for missed events, regardless of reason.

Cancelled Events (by City Sniffers)
In the event of a cancellation by City Sniffers, students will be offered the option to reschedule for another date OR receive a full refund.

Cancelled Event Entries (by Handler)

If a handler needs to cancel an event entry, they must notify City Sniffers in writing at info@citysniffers.org. If at least 5 days in advance of the event, they may choose to either reschedule for another time (depending on availablility) OR receive a refund of the original amount paid, minus a 10% processing fee.

No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 5 days in advance of the event date. This is without exception.

Games League Scheduling Guidance

Please read before making your selections below! :)

When you are able to attend on a Sunday afternoon, please do so! This helps to consolidate more teams into one time block. It's also a great experience for dogs that need acclimation to or practice in a trial-like environment, as the setup will be very similar to (but not quite as busy as) a typical trial...

About Sunday Afternoons:

• Check in will be between 1:45-2:00 pm: please arrive as early as you can within that window. We will hold briefing at 2:00 and then form and run blinds accordingly for each game, starting ~2:15 pm.
• Madd Ratter will run last, after all league games are complete. Once final counts are known, we will send an email with that info as well as projected timing for the start of Madd Ratter.

About Attaching League Runs to Training Visits:

• With this option, you either come a bit early or stay a bit late after your class or private lesson - league runs don't cut into training time! 
• This means, however, that buffer time has to be blocked out on the training schedule. I will be monitoring training bookings as they come in and will do this automatically based on your league selections on this form. The sooner you can book training slots the better, however, to ensure maximum time availability!
• If you have more than one dog playing, please first email me to check the training time slot you are planning to use so that I can ensure there is room for me to block sufficient buffer time.

If the training schedule starts to clog up too much, we may not be able to continue these flexible participation methods in future, so your support is critical to ensure we can maximize opportunities for everyone!
