December Mock Trial Searches with Dave Conroy & Todd Johnson

Dave and Todd will be onsite at a BRAND NEW location in Algonquin, IL on Sunday, June 7, 2026.

Sunday, June 7, 2026 will feature mock trial searches.  Everyone is welcome regardless of what venue(s) they compete in.   DOGS MUST BE ON ODOR!  Searches  will be set up in NACSW format and your team will run at least one search area with each facilitator. These are searches that will help your team gain confidence and experience especially in what might be warmer temps!   We will offer at least one search with each facilitator.  Search areas will be weather dependent.  All teams are welcome regardless of what venue you are showing in!  The day will be run in blocks of: NW1, NW2, NW3, and Elite  All teams will receive at least four searches and may or may not run back to back depending on flow of the venue and weather.   You will receive a schedule of arrival time closer to event day.  A schedule of arrival times will be sent closer to the event date.

Tickets are sold per dog.  There is no spliting of tickets for multiple dogs.   You may run multiple dogs but separate tickets must be purchased.  All crating will be out of vehicles.

Dave Conroy is an AKC &  NACSW judge.  He has been training dogs for over twenty years.  He was with the Milwaukee Police Department for over 30 years when he retired.  He was a sergeant with the City of Milwaukee and was also a K-9 handler for 9 1/2 years.  Dave is one of the founding members of the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Canine Handlers Association.  Dave brings an enthusiasm for the sport and a desire to help handlers work together as a team to achieve their goals.   

Todd Johnson is an NACSW judge, retired Milwaukee police officer, K9 handler and trainer.  He has over twenty five years of experience with K9 and SWAT.  Todd is actively certifying police K9 teams in patrol work, narcotic detection and firearm recovery.  He is also a part time police K9 Instructor.
