Leadership Commerce City Program Vision

Every Commerce City public, private, business, and non-profit organization will work together to advance community leadership development in Commerce City.

Leadership Commerce City is a local civic minded leadership development program that cultivates knowledgeable, engaged, and connected community leaders in Commerce City, Colorado. Leadership Commerce City aims to:

- Develop leadership skills among emerging and established community members.

- Build knowledge of key issues facing Commerce City, including education, government, economic development, public safety, and community services.

- Foster connections between participants, local leaders, and institutions.

- Promote civic engagement by encouraging graduates to serve on local boards, volunteer, and take active roles in the community.

Leadership Commerce City is a program of the Adams 14 Education Foundation. Participants include nonprofit professionals, business leaders, civic leaders, educators, residents, and public sector employees committed to the city’s growth and vitality.

The total cost of the program is $350.00. Partial scholarships are available. You must complete additional application questions to qualify for consideration.

The $50.00 application fee is required and not included in the scholarship.

Classes are one Friday a month from 8:30am-4:00pm September 2026-June 2027.

Before you complete your application, download the Leadership Commerce City Coursebook and review the schedule to determine your availability for all 10 sessions. You are allowed only two absences. Your tuition is non-refundable and non-transferrable.

Leadership Commerce City is a time commitment. Sessions are held one Friday per month from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. September through June. Do you commit to attending all sessions? *Upon acceptance to the class, you will be required to sign an attendance policy contract.

You will be contacted at the end of July to schedule your interview. Interviews will be held by Zoom at the beginning of August.

Once you've been accepted into the program, you will be required to sign a contract along with the remainder of your class dues. If you don't complete the class, your dues will not be refunded and cannot be transferred to another participant.
