Boarding the bus to the illumination requires a ticket. The illumination is an event on U.S. Navy property and is tightly controlled, as the audience is allowed to enter an active construction site. To keep everyone safe, people may not come and go except on the buses. The illumination event lasts about 1 hour, and people can catch an average of 30 minutes either early or later in the timeframe between 8:30 and 9:30 PM. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated. The Echoes of Parcel G Art Exhibit wil be open before and after the illuminaton event.
