Father & Son Shelter Building Adventure
One day in the woods with your son can become a story he tells for the rest of his life.
Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Waynesville, North Carolina
Spend the day in the woods learning one of the most essential wilderness skills: building shelter.
In this hands-on experience, fathers and sons (ages 8–14) will work side by side to gather materials and build real survival shelters using the forest around them. You'll problem solve together, work as a team, and learn practical wilderness skills that can last a lifetime.
The class takes place on a beautiful private 80-acre property just outside Waynesville, filled with creeks, hardwood forest, and open space to build.
This workshop also prepares you for the Father & Son Wilderness Weekend, where boys can return the next day to sleep overnight in the shelters they built with their dads.
The overnight experience is completely optional.
