Prospectus:
ELIGIBILITY: Open to all fine artists from Idaho, Washington, and Oregon, working in visual media. (no video, crafts or installation pieces). All work must be original and completed in the last three (3) years. Work should be less than 40 inches framed in either direction. You may submit up to 3 works of art for your $40 fee.
REQUIREMENTS: Labels must be attached to back of artwork: Artist, Title, Medium and Price. All 2D work must be on a wire hanger with D rings (no sawtooth or eye hook). Any work received that does not match the submitted image will be rejected and not hung. You may not substitute another piece once a piece is selected. Poor and unprofessional presentation and craftsmanship may also be cause for rejection.
SHIPPED ARTWORK: All shipped entries are due at the gallery from June 23rd to June 28th. Artists are responsible for ALL shipping costs. Work must be sent in a container acceptable for return shipping by major carrier (UPS, FedEx or USPS) and clearly marked with the artist’s information. ALL ARTWORK MUST HAVE A PREPAID RETURN SHIPPING LABEL. There is no arrangement for COD shipping. Please do not use packing peanuts.

SALES: All artwork must be for sale with a 30% commission by Art Source on all sold work. As per best practices, if work sells after show as a direct result of show, commission will also be owed. Artists will be mailed a check within ten (10) business days of the close of show.
LIABILITY: All possible care will be taken with your work while in our Gallery. However, Art Source Gallery and its agents will assume no liability for damage or loss. You are advised to carry your own insurance on your work. Any claims against the shipper are the responsibility of the artist.
IMAGE USE RELEASE: By submitting this application you are agreeing, in advance, to have your submitted artwork and your image published to any print or digital/electronic medium in promotion of Art Source Gallery and its events without compensation or attribution. This includes, but is not limited to, print and digital magazines, newsletters, websites, e-mails, social media pages and promotional material in perpetuity.
JUROR: Katy Shanafelt
Born and raised in Boise, Idaho to an artistic and supportive family, Katy pursued her passions and studied art and design at the University of Oregon, SUNY Purchase, NY and graduated from Boise State University with a BF in Drawing and Art Education. She is versed in illustration, oil, watercolor, gouache, acrylic, clay, casting and printmaking. She has taught art in the Boise School District for 29 years in AP studio, Painting and Drawing, ceramics, photography and digital art. Katy holds workshops in Boise, Eagle and McCall.
Katy has exhibited work in Garden City’s First Friday events as well as galleries in Coeur D’Alene, Pocatello and McCall and has produced many images for international magazines. She has juried many art shows in the Treasure Valley as well as being a Portfolio Reader for Collegeboard and the National Scholastic Art Awards.
Katy has received numerous awards and recognition from the Idaho Arts Education Association and was awarded Art Teacher of the Year in 2015.
