New Play Staged Reading: Lock of the Irish
Saturday, June 6 | 6:00–8:00 PM
Hop Harvest & Vine – Pewaukee
Join us for a staged reading of a new original play, Lock of the Irish, written by local playwright and Good Harvest Market / Hop Harvest & Vine owner Joe Nolan, and directed by acclaimed local director and actor Sandra Renick.
The story follows an Irish immigrant whose letters about “Irish luck” capture the imagination of a young Norwegian woman. When she travels to meet him, the truth behind those stories begins to unfold.
A staged reading features actors performing the play with scripts in hand, allowing audiences to experience the story while the play is still in development. Actors will perform with Irish and Norwegian accents to bring the world of the play to life.
Tickets: $10 per person - Includes a free glass of wine, beer or NA beverage
100% of ticket sales will go to the actors and director participating in the reading (provided in the form of gift cards).
Following the reading, audience members will have the opportunity to share brief feedback about the play.
Seating is limited.
