Official Competition & Scholarship Rules
The Purpose Over Pressure Initiative was created to support purpose driven individuals pursuing education, entrepreneurship, and community impact. The program consists of two opportunities:
• The POP Competition — awarding $15,000 to top 3 finalists with innovative ideas, projects, or businesses.
• The POP Scholarship — awarding $5,000 to 1 student pursuing higher education or vocational training.
1. General Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Must be 17–25 years old at the time of application.
• Must be a resident of the United States.
• Must demonstrate a commitment to purpose driven leadership, innovation, or community impact.
• Must complete the official application form and submit all required materials before the deadline.
• Must agree to the Purpose Over Pressure Initiative Terms & Conditions.
2. Application Requirements
All applicants must submit:
• Completed online application form
• Essay submission (see prompts below)
• Short video introduction (1–3 minutes) explaining their vision or purpose
• Resume or background summary
• Headshot or professional photo
Competition applicants must also submit additional materials (see Section 4).
3. Application Deadlines & Timeline
Applications close on the official deadline listed on the website.
Key Dates:
• Application Deadline: May 1, 2026
• Top 10 Finalists Announcement: May 10, 2026
• Purpose Competition Concert & Awards: May 22, 2026
Finalists may be required to participate in interviews or additional evaluation.
4. Purpose Competition Rules ($15,000 Award)
The Purpose Competition is open to individuals with innovative ideas, community initiatives, or business concepts.
Applicants may be:
• Aspiring entrepreneurs
• Innovators and creators
• Community leaders
• Individuals with a vision
• Ministry or nonprofit leaders/trainees
Applicants do not have to be enrolled in school.
Required Competition Submissions
Competition applicants must submit:
• Business or project overview
• Business plan or concept document
• 3–6 month financial projection (if applicable)
• Description of community impact or purpose
Accepted project categories include:
• Business startups
• Nonprofit initiatives
• Ministry programs
• Social impact projects
• Creative ventures
Competition Evaluation Criteria
Applicants will be judged based on:
• Clarity of vision
• Purpose and mission alignment
• Innovation and originality
• Feasibility and sustainability
• Community impact
Competition Prize Structure
Top 10 finalists will compete for $15,000 in total funding, distributed among the top three applicants.
Final prize allocation will be announced during the Purpose Over Pressure Competition Concert on May 22, 2026.
5. Purpose Scholarship Rules ($5,000 Award)
The Purpose Scholarship supports students pursuing education in traditional or vocational fields.
Eligible Education Programs
Students may be enrolled in or accepted to:
• Accredited universities or colleges
• Community colleges
• Trade schools
• Vocational programs
• Ministry or theological schools
GPA Requirement:
Applicants must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.6
Applicants may be asked to provide:
• Unofficial transcript
• Proof of enrollment or acceptance
The scholarship is paid directly to the institution.
If a recipient drops a class within the add/drop period and receives a refund, those funds will be returned to The Purpose Over Pressure Competition™.
Scholarship Evaluation Criteria
Applicants will be evaluated based on:
• Academic commitment
• Purpose and future goals
• Character and leadership
• Community involvement
The scholarship is intended to assist students pursuing their God given calling through education or training.
6. Video Submission Requirements
Applicants must submit a 1–3 minute video answering the following:
• Who you are
• What purpose or vision you are pursuing
• How this opportunity would impact your future and community
Videos should be clear, authentic, and under 3 minutes in length.
7. Finalist Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed by the Purpose Over Pressure Selection Committee.
The committee will evaluate:
• Application materials
• Essay responses
• Video submission
• Supporting documents
The Top 10 finalists will be announced publicly.
8. Award Distribution
All awards will be announced during the Purpose Over Pressure Competition Concert and Community Celebration on May 22, 2026.
Recipients may be required to:
• Provide verification documentation
• Participate in promotional media
• Agree to public recognition
Scholarship funds may be issued directly to the recipient or educational institution.
9. Code of Conduct
Applicants must demonstrate integrity, honesty, and professionalism.
The initiative reserves the right to disqualify applicants who:
• Submit false information
• Engage in plagiarism
• Violate application guidelines
10. Rights & Media Release
By applying, applicants grant permission for the Purpose Over Pressure Initiative to:
• Use their name and likeness for promotional purposes
• Share finalist announcements publicly
• Feature selected applicants in media coverage
11. Public Voting
Public voting procedures and eligibility requirements will be determined and monitored by the Purpose Over Pressure Selection Committee to ensure fairness and integrity.
12. Final Authority
All decisions made by the Purpose Over Pressure Selection Committee are final.
The Purpose Over Pressure Initiative reserves the right to modify program details if necessary.
