This course is an introduction to the Cub Scout outdoor program for leaders interested in adding camping to their Pack activities.
BALOO training consists of a prerequisite online component in addition to the overnight hands-on practical component. Pack or Webelos/AOL Den camping requires the presence of at least one BALOO-trained adult.
Training will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, and end at 11 a.m. on Sunday, including overnight.
Registration fee is $35 and includes meals.
Don't forget to complete the prerequisite online portion! Head over to the BSA Learn Center and search for BALOO once you have logged in. Print the record of completion.
Bring a Annual Health & Medical Record (AHMR) Parts A&B with you.
Participants will need to bring their own camping equipment: tent, sleeping bag, pad, adequate clothing for the weather.
Additional gear that will be helpful: mess kit, camp chair, sunglasses, camera, and a notebook with pen or pencil.
Participants limited to 24.
