BE SURE YOU ARE SPELLING ALL NAMES CORRECTLY, AND ARE USING

CORRECT PUNCTUATION,

SPACING between first/last name,

CAPITAL & Lower Case letters

2. Put a HYPHEN after your photography name and before the client name(s) so that there is no question on your studio name and the cilent's names.

3. Follow this format below in naming images (include hyphens)

It is very important that you use correct punctuation, spacing and spelling as we will copy the information directly from the image to the magazine Images will be name exactly as you indicate on the image itself. For groups, list each person's name individually.

MODEL RELEASES - We no longer require that you SUBMIT a model release to us. However, by submitting images, you are agreeing that you have a signed model release on file from your client and that they are ok with you submitting images for publication.

IMAGE QUALITY - WE PREFER AN 8X10 CROP - NO LOGO ON YOUR IMAGES - High Res Images only (300 dpi)

YOUR CLIENTS - Image submisssions must be of YOUR PAYING CLIENTS, and must have been taken by you. If you have images you have taken of your own teen that you want to submit, you can....but only if the Majority of images being submitted are of your clients.

NUMBER OF IMAGES
You may submit ONE image FREE of charge. Just select 1 image at the bottom of this form.
The more images you submit, the higher your chances are of making it into the magazine. Most people submit between 20-50 images - some submit more and some submit less.

NO REFUNDS - There will be no refunds of submission fees - No Exceptions.

HELPFUL TIPS TO IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF BEING PUBLISHED:

a. Variety is KEY. The more images you submit, the greater your chances are of getting into the magazine because you are submitting a variety of images for us to choose from.

Most photographers submit at least 3-4 images of EACH client and most submit at least 4-5 clients. Some do more. Be sure to read about our new AWARDS PROGRAM.

When you see a magazine with many images from one photographer, it's because they submitted a large number of quality images.

We are cutting back on including multiple images with the exact same background, although they may be of different models. So please be aware.

b. DO NOT include any logo or watermark on your images. You will be disqualified.

By checking this box, I CONFIRM that I am the original artist/photographer of all images submitted. I understand that this is a submission form for "SENIOR YEAR MAGAZINE".

By checking this box, I CONFIRM that I have a model release in my possession for every client whose images I have submitted, giving me permission to submit the images for possible publication. NOTE: You do not have to supply us with a copy of the release form, but by agreeing to this section, you are confirming that you have a model release in your possession. You do not need to submit the model release to us.

By checking this box, I understand that submission of images is not a guarantee that images will be selected to be featured in the print magazine. I understand that submission fees are NOT refundable.

I agree and understand that I am giving Senior Year Magazine, Teen Years Magazine or Infinity Photography Magazine, the right to print, and I also agree and understand that by submitting, the parents have given me permission to submit the images.

CREATE A FOLDER ON YOUR COMPUTER OF YOUR IMAGES

1. DROPBOX FOLDER

Create a Folder for your images in Dropbox. Name your Dropbox Folder on your computer with YOUR BUSINESS NAME. Place the images you are submitting into the folder.

2. DISQUALIFICATION

Can you use a sharing application other than Dropbox? Yes, BUT if you use Google Drive or any other sharring application, you need to BE SURE that you have enabled sharing.

If we try to open your folder and get the message that we do not have permission, we will skip your submissions and you will be disqualified. We can no longer take the time or be responsible for trying to contact you to get permissions to view your images. This is your responsibility.

Again, if you are not using dropbox, but are using another sharing application such as Google Drive, BE SURE that you have shared the folder with me before you submit this form. If I receive your folder and it has not been pre-shared with me, I will not ask you to share it and your images will be disqualified because I cannot see them. I must be able to access it so be sure you have granted sharing permissions before you submit this form.

You may use Dropbox or Google Drive for your images. WE PREFER DROPBOX. COPY and PASTE a LINK to your DROPBOX FOLDER here . To do this on Dropbox, go to your dropbox folder, on the right hand side, click "SHARE". This will allow you to create a sharable link. Copy and paste your link here. Dropbox is preferred.

NAME YOUR IMAGES

Follow this format for naming every image in your dropbox folder:

Your Studio Name (correct spelling, punctuation and correct spacing)

followed by a dash -

Then client's First Name and Last Name (correct spelling, punctuation and correct spacing)

THIS IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT - WE WILL BE COPYING AND PASTING the info directly from your images into the magazine. Be sure NOT to capitalize everything unless is should be capitalized. Be sure to put a space between the first and last name just as we have said above.

So your images names should look similar to this:

** If you submit multiple images of the same person, put a dash and then a number after their last name. This will make it so that each image of the same person is named differently.

Photographers who have a significant number of different seniors published may be considered for Studio Spotlight recognition, which includes a 2–3 page feature highlighting their studio.

Studio Spotlight features are selected at the editorial team’s discretion. Each issue will highlight a limited number of Studio Spotlight photographers.

At the end of 2026, one photographer will be named Senior Year Magazine Top Photographer of the Year based on the Most Seniors Published across all issues during the year.

Photographers who receive recognition awards may be announced in our photographer community and on Senior Year Magazine social media platforms.
