    Fifteen Years of Art Cars and Arts Access for All!
  • The most colorful weekend in Chattanooga returns! For fifteen years, our art car advocacy has helped raise awareness that ALL children deserve art in school — and today, every Hamilton County school has an art teacher. To celebrate this milestone, our free public art event honors Chattanooga's creative spirit with a special focus on student creativity, bringing art to schoolchildren and spreading inspiration across our community.

    Whether you're a seasoned artist, a car enthusiast, or joining us on a dare, your wheels and imagination help build a sustainable future of art car culture right here in Chattanooga. And as a registered participant, you'll enjoy all the fun, perks, and pride that come with supporting this beloved event for our city and its youth.

    Ready to join us? Here's what you need to know:

    Individual & Group Entry — $40 | Includes full participation in the event, one art car t-shirt, and all the perks that come with being part of Chattanooga's most creative weekend.

    Business Entry — $250 | Includes everything above plus promotional opportunities to showcase your brand to our enthusiastic community audience.

    Non-Profit Organizations — FREE | Entry fees are waived for non-profit organizations. We're proud to welcome mission-driven groups at no cost.

  • Artist Perks for Road Trippers

    Artist Perks for Road Trippers

    We have a limited number of artist stipends for those driving 200+ miles round trip able to attend all events beginning with the Welcome Dinner May 6th and ending with the breakfast on Sunday morning, May 10th. Most meals are also provided and we have art ambassadors to host your stay.

    Art Ambassadors are our amazing local hosts that provide housing during your stay. While we will do our very best to pair you with an ambassador, we cannot guarantee lodging. If you are already staying with friends or family, please let us know we can include them in all the fun!

  • ENTRY REQUIREMENTS/RULES

  • • All entries must be decorated! You can paint, bead, bedazzle, tow a stage, cover in fabric, create a costume, or just about anything else you can think of. Classic cars and lowriders are art cars too.

    • All entries must be able to roll and able to get to the events on their own accord.

    • We Make will occur: rain or shine. Please be aware of the weather and plan accordingly.

    • Portions of the We Make Weekend occur along city streets. Entrants must obey all public transportation safety rules.

    • If entrant is a minor, they must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

    • No entries may exceed 13 feet in height & 12 feet in width.

    • Entrants must not throw anything into the crowd when we are moving.

    • Art 120 pit crew reserves the right to refuse any entry, including up until the parade begins.

    • No entries may present a safety hazard.

    • All entries must be suitable for family viewing.

    • Art 120 may use photos of your entry and your likeness in Art 120 related publications and media, in print or online.

    • No dogs allowed to roam loose around moving vehicles — they do not mingle well with traffic!

    • The presence of logos, corporate signage, etc., qualifies an entry as “corporate,” which carries a minimal entry fee of $250

    • Please bring water for yourself and prepare to have fun!

  • 2026 We Make Waiver

  • A) I shall indemnify and hold harmless Art 120, Hamilton County Department of Education, Rock City, The Scuplture Fields at Montague Park, The Hunter Museum of American Art, Forrestall Consulting, the City of Chattanooga, and volunteer organizers from any and all loss, costs (including reasonable attorney fees and court costs), damages, expense, and liability arising from We Make 2024. Art 120, Hamilton County Department of Education, Lyndhurst Foundation, The Hunter Museum of American Art, and its sponsors and organizers accept no liability for any issue that may arise. Any insurance protection that may be necessary for the accidental injury, vehicular, or property damage is the sole responsibility of the applicant.

    (B) I hereby WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to me including my traveling to and from this event, THE FOLLOWING ENTITIES OR PERSONS: Art 120, Hamilton County Department of Education, Lyndhurst Foundation, The Hunter Museum of American Art, Forrestall Consulting, the City of Chattanooga, and/or their sponsors, directors, officers, volunteers, representatives, and agents, the activity or event holders, activity or event sponsors, activity or event volunteers;

    (C) Understand that at this event or related activities, I may be photographed and hereby give Art 120, Hamilton County Department of Education, the City of Chattanooga, and the Tennessee Arts Commission permission to allow photos, videos, or film likeness of myself and my entry to be used for any legitimate purpose by the event holders, producers, sponsors, organizers, and assigns of the We Make Weekend The accident waiver and release of liability shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.

    (D) COVID-19 Statement: Art 120 Hamilton County Department of Education, Lyndhurst Foundation, The Hunter Museum of American Art, and Forrestall Consulting have taken enhanced health and safety measures for you, our volunteers, and employees. You must follow all posted instructions while attending We Make 2026.

    An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public space where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

    By attending We Make 2026, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

    I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT, AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENT. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT AND I ACCEPT IT OF MY OWN FREE WILL.
