Summer Art Camp with Diana Rendell at the Creative Hub of Apopka

Register your child or teen for our 2026 summer art camps and submit payment to secure a spot. Diana Rendell has worked in the arts for 20+ years and Arts education for 10+years, most recently directing a nonprofit community art center in the midwest specializing in Painting, Drawing Printmaking and Ceramics. These camps will foster growth and development in the arts as well as interpersonal friendships build on creative problem-solving. We will tackle unique projects and learn new ways of making art. We are going to have a great time!! Please send students ready in clothes to get messy in, a water bottle and a snack. All other supplies are included. Kid's Tiny Camp (Ages 8-11) 9AM-12PM

June 1-6, for kids ages 8-11.Small things can make a big impact. Sometimes we walk into the art museum and see gigantic wall pieces, but have you ever noticed how a tiny art piece demands your attention? You have to walk over to it, examine it, look it in the eye, and give it the seriousness it deserves. Come make all the tiniest things you’ve ever seen! Teensy paintings, itty bitty sculptures, jewelry, nick-nacks, and hidden gems. If you love precious little things, this is the class for you! Let’s make some tiny masterpieces! All supplies included

Kid's Tiny Camp Part 2 (Ages 8-11) 9AM-12PM

June 15-19, for kids ages 8-11. Part 1 is not required for part 2, but will not be a repeat of Tiny Art 1. We will continue our journey into tiny art this week with tiny sculptures, paintings, and more. How BIG is your imagination for tiny things?! All supplies included

Kid's Painting and Drawing Camp (Ages 8-11) 9AM-12PM

June 29-July 10, for kids ages 8-11. Let’s deepen our understanding of 2-dimensional media in this fun class. We will play art games, meet fun art friends and express ourselves through lines and colors. We will paint on canvasses and special papers and draw to our heart’s content. Come show your stuff, and get ready to get colorful! All supplies included

Kid's Ceramic Camp (Ages 8-11) 9AM-12PM

July 13-24, for kids ages 8-11. Do you love clay? Are there not enough ceramics days in your school’s curriculum? Let’s make all the things! We will make a few main projects focusing on skill building, while kids have time to put those skills into practice and make their own creations in three dimensions. Students should have all their work back from the kiln by the last day, porch pick-up will be posted if work for some reason is not ready by the 24th. We will make no-fire clay projects on the last day. All supplies included

Teen Painting Intensive: Focus on Color (Ages 12-16) 1-4PM

June 1-6, for teens ages 12-16. During this 5-day painting intensive, students will learn acrylic painting start to finish, beginning with stretching their own canvasses then progressing through the main steps of building an acrylic painting on the canvas. Students should arrive with 3 images of their choosing printed out on an 8x11 piece of paper, as large as possible to use as inspiration for their painting. All supplies included

Teen Mixed Media Exploration (2wk, Ages 12-16) 1-4PM

June 29-July 10, for teens 12-16. Open your minds to the nonjudgemental, experimental opportunity to try it all and still come out with some amazing artwork. This class will offer the opportunity to work with many kinds of media with drawing, painting, printmaking and fiber. We will collage, paint, draw, and embrace texture. This class is gonna push your understanding of art making, and it's gonna be so fun!All supplies included

Teen Ceramics (Ages 12-16) 1-4PM

July 13-24, for teens ages 12-16. Join us to wind down the summer with ceramics camp. We will use clay to create several projects that will help you build your skills and understanding of this medium. Each day you will have the opportunity to work on your own creative endeavors, and we will help you bring your sketch into 3-dimensions. The teen class will also have some pottery wheel time, although most time will be spent hand-building. We plan to get the pieces back from the kiln by the final day, but there may be a porch pick up posted after. Some pieces will be glazed, and others will be painted. We will do air dry clay projects on the last day. All supplies included
