The Emerging Leaders Retreat, sponsored by the Georgia District of Kiwanis International, is a program that will be held September 19-20, 2026 and is available to all high school students in the state of Georgia who are in 9th - 12th grades (current 8th graders who are moving up to 9th grade in the fall of 2026 are eligible). Teachers, school administrators, community leaders, and Kiwanians are asked to identify any student who they believe could emerge as a leader after being trained in several areas related to serving leadership.
This fun and interactive experience will be led by America’s Student Leadership Trainersm, Dave Kelly. Dave is an award-winning student leadership speaker in both the U.S. and Canada. He is an expert in engaging students in community service and is a 9-time Distinguished District Administrator, the most in the history of Circle K International.
The registration fee is $125 per student, which includes 3 meals (lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday), snacks and refreshments, lodging for Saturday night, all materials, and more!
The Emerging Leaders Retreat will be held at the Georgia FFA/FCCLA Campground in Covington, GA. Check-in begins at 11 am on Saturday, September 19, followed by lunch, and then the program begins. Pick-up will be at noon on Sunday, September 20.
