Do you require a transient slip at Quantico Marina? The Quantico Marina accepts overnight transients and there is a launching facility at Hospital Point on MCB Quantico off Quantico Creek. Transients should contact the marina by phone (703-784-2741) to determine updated conditions or to secure a slip on arrival. Base requirements for slip reservation and stay are the transient form, boat registration or documentation and proof of insurance.

Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge that participation in a sailing race involves inherent risks, including but not limited to collision with other vessels, fixed objects, or floating debris; equipment failure; capsizing; changing weather conditions; strong currents; wakes; grounding; personal injury; illness; and property damage.

I understand that these risks may result in serious bodily injury, permanent disability, death, or damage to personal property. I voluntarily and knowingly assume all such risks associated with participation in this event, whether known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable.

Responsibility of Skipper
I certify that I am solely responsible for the seaworthiness of my vessel, the safety of my crew, and the decision to start or continue racing. I affirm that my vessel complies with applicable safety requirements and that all required safety equipment is onboard and in proper working order.

I acknowledge that the decision to participate or continue racing is solely mine and that neither the Quantico Yacht Club nor the Race Committee assumes responsibility for that decision.

Release and Waiver of Liability
In consideration for being permitted to participate in this event, I, on behalf of myself, my crew, heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Quantico Yacht Club, its officers, directors, members, volunteers, race committee personnel, sponsors, marina operators, and agents from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, or causes of action arising out of or related to participation in this event, including those arising from negligence to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Indemnification
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Quantico Yacht Club and its representatives from any claims brought by crew members, guests, or third parties arising from my participation in this event or the operation of my vessel.

Medical Consent
In the event of injury or medical emergency, I authorize emergency medical treatment as deemed necessary. I understand that I am financially responsible for any medical costs incurred.

Compliance with Laws and Rules
I agree to comply with:

All applicable federal, state, and local boating laws
The Navigation Rules / COLREGS
The Racing Rules of Sailing
The Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions issued by QYC
All instructions from the Race Committee

Media Release
I grant Quantico Yacht Club permission to use photographs, video, or other media of me, my vessel, and my crew taken during the event for promotional and archival purposes without compensation.

Acknowledgement
I certify that I have read this Acknowledgement of Risk and Waiver of Liability in its entirety, understand its contents, and agree voluntarily without inducement.
