In this hands-on ceramics class, students will learn how to transform simple clay into a one-of-a-kind bowl using the coil-building technique. Participants will roll and shape coils, attach them using the score-and-slip method, and form them into a loose bowl shape while exploring how clay moves from a soft, flexible material into a sturdy, functional piece of pottery. Along the way, they’ll also learn glazing basics to finish their creation. This class is a great introduction to foundational clay skills in a relaxed, creative environment.
