• Silhouettes in Nature

    March 10-31, 2026 4-6 PM for adults. Join Danielle in person at Aplomb Gallery or virtually for a four-week mixed media course with a focus on the human silhouette in nature. Each week, we’ll work from different photo references while Danielle instructs techniques using water-based mediums together, while fostering a supportive and mindful creative environment. Suggested materials: (or use Aplomb's for $15) Graphite pencils, gum eraser, watercolor, gouache or acrylic pens, white or toned mixed media or watercolor paper. At Aplomb Gallery, all courses, workshops, and meetups are trauma-informed.       • About the instructor: Danielle Festa has over 20 years experience as an art instructor and feels it is important to create a supportive and creative learning enviroment. Danielle has been painting hyper-realist portraits with mixed media fabric elements since graduating with a BFA from UMASS Amherst in 2007.
