    ALL JUDGING IS SUBJECTIVE AND FINAL DECISIONS ARE UP TO THE JUDGES, EVENT SPONSORS (“SPONSORS”), AND/OR COPPER MOUNTAIN REPRESENTATIVES.

    EVENT DATE AND TIME ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND/OR CANCELLATION DUE TO, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, INCLEMENT WEATHER OR SNOW CONDITIONS, PARTICIPATION, AND/OR AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF COPPER MOUNTAIN. SHOULD THE EVENT BE RESCHEDULED OR CANCELED BY COPPER MOUNTAIN FOR ANY REASON NEITHER COPPER MOUNTAIN OR SPONSORS WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY OF THE TEAM’S COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE CHANGE IN EVENT, INCLUDING THE REGISTRATION FEE.

    EVENT DATE: The 2026 Skimmy Dippers Pond Skim (the “Event”) will be held at Copper Mountain on April 26th, 2026.

    TEAMS: Teams must be made up of two (2) participants (a “Team”). All participants must be at least twelve (12) years of age. All two (2) participants of a Team must be of an ability level to safely negotiate the terrain for the Event which includes but is not limited to groomed and ungroomed terrain, easier and more difficult  terrain, and medium and large terrain park features including but not limited to jumps and rails. Employees of Copper Mountain and Sponsors and their immediate family are eligible to enter the Event provided they are not scheduled to work for Copper Mountain or Sponsors the day of the Event.

    REGISTRATION: A maximum of seventy (70) Teams will be able to register for and compete at the Event. Registration is on a first-come, first reserved basis. All Teams must register to participate in the Event. Registration will open on March 11th, 2026 at 10:00am and will remain open until the later of (i) all available spots are filled; or (ii) until  April 24th, 2026 at 11.59am. Registration must be completed online. No registration will be offered in person on the day of the Event. Information shared by participants during the online registration process other than personal identifiable information, including but not limited to fun fact and theme song, may be shared by the Master of Ceremonies at the Event.

    REGISTRATION FEES: Registration for the Event will cost fifty dollars ($50.00) per Team. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. For the avoidance of doubt, no refunds, exchanges, or transfers of entry are allowed under any circumstances.

    ATHLETES MEETING: Each participant must attend the Athlete’s Meeting on April 26th, 2026 at 10:30am Mountain Standard Time. For Teams whose participants are all minors, at least one (1) parent or legal guardian of at least one (1) participant must attend the Athlete’s Meeting. The Team Meeting will be conducted in English. Non-attendance will result in the disqualification from the Event.

    COSTUMES; CONDUCT: Copper Mountain encourages all participants to wear costumes that are either matching or share a theme or design elements. Costumes and conduct must be family-friendly in nature. Costumes or conduct by any participant deemed offensive, explicit, derogatory, disrespectful, or culturally insensitive, at the sole discretion of Copper Mountain, is strictly prohibited. Nudity of any kind is prohibited. Costumes and conduct shall not promote the use of illegal substances or activities, or portray violence of any kind. Any costume props or accessories must be securely attached to the wearer and bear any person including but not limited to the wearer, other participants, spectators, guests, and Copper Mountain employees and volunteers no risk of injury. Participants are not permitted to participate if under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

    By participating in this Event, participants agree to be bound by these Rules and the decisions of Copper Mountain shall be final and binding in all respects. Failure to comply with these Rules may result in disqualification. Copper Mountain reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual found to be tampering and/or sabotaging the venue and/or the equipment; or to be acting in any manner deemed by Copper Mountain to be in violation of the Rules; or to be acting in any manner deemed by Copper Mountain to be unsportsmanlike or disruptive, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, harm, or harass any other person.

    HELMETS: All participants MUST wear a helmet in good condition that meets or exceeds the ASTM F2040 standard for snow sports helmets.

    ALLOWED DEVICES: All devices used on the Event course must be permitted on Copper Mountain’s allowed devices list located at https://www.coppercolorado.com/the-mountain/mountain-safety/equipment-allowed with the exception that no ski bikes will be allowed on the course. Please contact riskandsafety@coppercolorado.com should you have a request for reasonable accommodation.

    RELEASE OF LIABILITY: All participants must sign, or have signed on their behalf by a parent or legal guardian if under the age of 18 years, the then current Copper Mountain Assumption of Risk, Release of Liability and Indemnity Agreement.

    RESORT ACCESS: All participants are required to hold a valid lift ticket or pass for the day of the Event. Participants will be eligible to purchase discounted lift tickets. More information coming soon. 

    COMPETITION FORMAT: This is a judged event. Each Team will have one (1) competition run through the course.  Neither Copper Mountain nor any Sponsors are responsible for any and/or all injuries during or because of the Event. All participants are encouraged to perform within their means and abilities. Prizes will be awarded for the Event as described in the Prize Details section below.

    JUDGING: Judges will be supplied by Copper Mountain. Participants will be judged on, but not limited to, style, technique, creativity, and difficulty in the Rail & Jump sections  of the course. Judging criteria, format, and/or structure is subject to change. In addition, judges will score costumes based on, but not limited to, cohesiveness, creativity, and style. The judging is subjective and all decisions by the judges, Copper Mountain, and Sponsors are final. Any attempt by a participant to bribe, intimidate, and/or threaten a judge for a higher score and/or placement will render that participant and Team, if applicable disqualified from the Event. All such disqualifications will be decided by Copper Mountain.

    PRIZE DETAILS: (i) First Place Team: two (2) vouchers redeemable for a 2026-27 Copper Mountain Season Pass ; (ii) Second Place Team: two (2) vouchers redeemable for a Woodward Barn Pass and two (2) vouchers redeemable for a 2026-27 Copper Mountain Four Pack; (iii) Third place Team: two (2) vouchers redeemable for a 2026-27 Copper Mountain Four Pack; (iv) Best Costume: two (2) vouchers redeemable for a 2026-27 Copper Mountain Four Pack; and (v) Best Trick: one (1) voucher redeemable for a 2026-27 Copper Mountain Four Pack for the participant with the ‘best trick’.

    PRIZE PICKUP AND USE: Winners will be announced immediately following the completion of the Event. Winners can elect to pick up their prizes immediately following the awards ceremony. Any legal documentation will be filled out at the time of prize pickup. Any and all happenings at the award ceremony are subject to change and/or be cancelled at the discretion of Copper Mountain. The winners shall bear all risk of loss or damage to their prize after it has been received. Copper Mountain and Sponsors make no representations or warranties of any kind concerning the appearance, safety or performance of any prize; except for any express manufacturer’s warranty as may be included with the prize. Except where prohibited by law, winners grant to Copper Mountain and Sponsors the right to print, publish, broadcast, and use worldwide in any media now known or hereinafter known, the winner’s name, address, voice, statement, picture or other likeness, without additional compensation, for public relations, advertising and promotional purposes as may be determined by Copper Mountain and Sponsors.

    GENERAL PROVISIONS: This Event is governed by the laws of the state of Colorado without respect to conflict of law principles. Unclaimed prize(s) may not be awarded. Copper Mountain reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event a prize or any portion of a prize becomes unavailable. No substitution of prize is offered, no transfer of prize to a third party is permitted, and non-cash prizes may not be redeemed for cash value except at Copper Mountain’s sole discretion. All other expenses on the receipt and use of the prize not specifically mentioned herein are solely the responsibility of the winner. Any difference between the stated value of any prize and the actual retail value will not be awarded. Any portion of a prize not accepted by winner will be forfeited. Upon forfeiture for any reason, no compensation will be given.
