• High Score/Point Year End Awards

  • Eligibility and Qualifiction Rules

The program encourages broad participation to showcase the versatility of Iberian horses.  The High Score/Point Award Program recognizes excellence in performance across multiple disciplines.  Awards are offered in the following three distinct categories for each discipline listed in the program:

    1. Youth Category: Open to junior exhibitors 18 years and under as of January 1 of the competition year.
    2. Amateur Category: Open to amateur exhibitors over the age of 18 who meet the organization’s amateur eligibility criteria (no remuneration for riding/training).  This category celebrates non-professional achievement.
    3. Open Category: Open to all exhibitors regardless of professional status.  This division includes professionals, trainers, and any rider not qualifying for Youth or Amateur categories.

    Multi-Discipline Participation

Exhibitors may compete and submit scores in multiple disciplines as desired.  Scores from different disciplines will contribute to the relevant category high-point/score standings (e.g., a Youth exhibitor can earn points toward Youth Dressage High Score and Youth Working Equitation High Score separately).  The Awards Committee will calculate rankings per category and per discipline.

    Submission and Qualification

    1. Membership Requirement: The owner (or primary exhibitor, if different) must hold active membership in the Iberian Horse Alliance for the competition year in which the scores are earned.  Membership must be current at the time of score submission and remain in good standing through the awards announcement.
    2. Horse Ownership and Registration: The horse must be owned by the qualifying member and registered with any recognized Iberian registry.
    3. Score Submission Requirements: Three eligible scores must be submitted by December 31st of the competition year.
      • Submissions should include official score reports, test details, show dates, and judge information.
      • Late submissions will not be accepted.  Incomplete or unverifiable scores will be disqualified.

The Awards Committee reserves the right to verify all information and make final determinations on eligibility.
