  • Goodells County Park Rules for Equestrians

    1. Horses MUST be kept away from the Community Center & Concession Stand. No horse is allowed on the sidewalks and grass area adjacent to the Community Center & Concession Stand.
    2. Horse trailers must be parked in the gravel parking lot located west of the Community Center. ABSOLUTELY NO PARKING IS ALLOWED ON ANY LANES – ESPECIALLY THE CIRCLE DRIVE AROUND THE BARNS! Fire lanes MUST be kept clear. Vehicles and trailers may not be parked in or adjacent to fire lanes.
    3. Horses may be dropped off or picked up on the lane in front of the horse barns or walked from the designated trailer parking areas directly to the rings or barns. Horses MUST use the designated horse crossing area located near the park entrance.
    4. Horses are NOT permitted to be ridden within the park, except in the rings and warm-up areas.
    5. In the barns, all manure and bedding MUST be cleaned up with a manure fork and placed in the manure pit. Scoop shovels are NOT allowed to be used to clean stalls.
    6. Show arena and all stalls must be cleaned after each use. Manure must be removed from all paved parking areas, pathways, and horse wash stations. Failure to remove manure from these areas will result in a $100/per hour cleaning fee.
    7. Manure may be left in the rings and the grass areas immediately adjacent to the rings (Does NOT include the hill).
    8. ABSOLUTELY NO LUNGING is allowed in Ring #1 (Red Judge's Barn). Use of Ring #1 is limited to warm-ups and competition events only. It is not available for practice and will remain locked unless it is rented.
    9. Lunging is only allowed in Ring #2, the Practice Ring, or the grass area by the gravel parking lot.
    10. No alchohol allowed on the park grounds.

    Armada Fairground Rules/Expectation for Attendees

    1. Campsites will only be issued to those attending EMHA Show.
    2. No sleeping tents allowed. All campers must be on wheels and travel worthy.
    3. No dumping of any waste water. A potential fine up to $500/day from the Macomb County Health Dept. can be issued. Water leaks of any kind will not be tolerated, use hose washers or other hardware.
    4. No campfires or open flames, fire pits, torches, etc.
    5. No golf carts, UTVs, ATVs, etc.
    6. NO PARKING NEXT TO CAMPERS. Roads and Driveways need to be kept clear at all times for emergency access. Park in general parking only. VIOLATORS WILL BE TOWED AT OWNER’S EXPENSE, no exceptions.
    7. Campsites can only be issued to a person 18 or older. Parents/Guardians must always supervise minors.
    8. QUIET TIME IS ANYTIME. Loud music, shouting, fighting or excessive noise will not be tolerated.
    9. Campers must maintain a clean site and upon departure. Campers should use dumpster onsite.
    10. Campsite pass will be issued upon arrival and must be always displayed on camper door or in a window.
    11. Primitive campsites are allowed generators but must be turned off from 11PM to 6AM.
    12. All campers must be parked in rows/strait lines. No “corrals” or “circle camping.”
    13. UNDERAGE DRINKING IS NOT ALLOWED. Camping area will be patrolled by Security Personnel and Armada Village Police Department.
    14. No open intoxicants. This may be grounds for removal.1C
    15. Camping is a privilege, and permission may be revoked for persistent disturbance.
    16. Failure to adhere to the above rules, by all persons onsite-including guests, will lead to expulsion from the campgrounds. NO REFUNDS. The person that registered the camper is responsible for all guests and their actions.A VALID DRIVER’S LICENCE COPY IS DUE UPON SIGNING

  • Camping Rules: Be sure to Read!

    • You must abide by all Goodells Park rules (listed below).

    • There are 6 spots available between the Maroon Barn and the Quonset Hut. If more than 6 camping sites are booked, all others must camp in the grass parking lot. The first 6 registrations will receive first choice of location.

    • This is rustic camping. If you need electricity, you should bring your own generator. Electricity is very limited.
    • In the event of rain prior to the show, all campers will be required to camp in the grass parking lots to prevent damage to the turf.

    • Camping fees are nonrefundable. To request a transfer, you must email easternmihorseman@yahoo.com

    • If you need multiple camping sites, you will need to fill out a new form for each site.
