"Imaginary Spaces"
An Exhibition of Abstracts and Dreanscapes

Lancaster Art Vault invites artists to submit work for "Imaginary Spaces".

This exhibition brings together abstract works and dreamlike landscapes and imagery that move beyond representation, creating environments that feel remembered, imagined, or just out of reach. Here, artists build spaces that don’t exist in the physical world but feel emotionally familiar—places formed from memory, mood, and subconscious thought.

Imaginary Spaces is a celebration of possibility: of places we carry within us, places we long for, and places that exist only in the mind’s eye.

All mediums are welcome, including but not limited to painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, mixed media, fiber, and printmaking.

Artists of all backgrounds and career stages are encouraged to apply.

Exhibition Dates: Friday, May 1 – Saturday, June 27
Location: Lancaster Art Vault, 100 North Queen Street, Lancaster, PA.

Important Submission Details:

Submission Deadline: March 15, 2026
Notification of Acceptance: April 8,2026
Drop-off Deadline for Accepted Work: April 25, 2026

Commission: Lancaster Art Vault will take a 30% commission of all work sold. Submission to the Call for Art constitutes an agreement that the artist agrees to the commission split.

Submission Process:

Artists are invited to submit their works via this submission form.
Submission Fee: $20 per artist, payable here.
Artists may submit up to 3 pieces of work per each submission.
All mediums accepted.
No size restrictions on submitted work.
Artists are required to drop off and pick up work. LAV will accept shipped work but will not ship work back.
FILES MUST BE LABELED AS SUCH: "FirstName_LastName_Title_Dimensions" FILES THAT ARE NOT LABELED CORRECTLY WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

Artwork selected through this Call for Art will be exhibited alongside pieces by our Featured Guest Artists. While all participating artists will be recognized on our website, individual names will not appear on marketing posters. All submissions will be reviewed through a blind selection process conducted by the Lancaster Art Vault exhibition team.

Lancaster Art Vault shall retain a thirty percent (30%) commission on the sale of any artwork resulting from this exhibition. Submission to this Call for Art constitutes the artist’s acknowledgment and acceptance of these terms, and serves as a binding agreement to the stated commission structure.*
