    • What to Know

      ​I am so looking forward to practicing with you virtually!

      To make sure we have a smooth, relaxing session in your home, here is a quick guide on what to expect.


      ​1. The Zoom Link
      You will receive the Zoom link via email 30 minutes before class begins.
      ​

      • Tip: Please aim to log on 5-10 minutes early. This gives us time to say hello, check your audio/video, and troubleshoot any tech gremlins before we start moving.


      ​2. Audio Etiquette (The "Mute" Button)

      • ​Arrival: When you first log on, feel free to unmute and say hello! It’s nice to hear each other's voices.
      • ​During Class: Once we begin, please mute your microphone. This ensures that background noises (dogs barking, phones ringing) don’t interrupt the sound healing or instruction for everyone else. Note: As the host, I may mute everyone once class starts just to be sure!
      • ​The End: After Savasana, you are welcome to unmute to say goodbye, or simply wave and log off if you want to stay in your "bliss bubble." I will keep the meeting open for a few minutes after we finish.


      ​3. Setting Up Your Sanctuary

      Since I can't be there to hand you props, you’ll need to gather a few things to make your practice comfortable.

      • ​Hydration: Have a glass or bottle of water nearby.
      • ​Lighting: Set up your device so I can see you (if you want feedback), but feel free to dim the lights in your room to help you relax.
      • ​Notifications: Please turn your phone to "Do Not Disturb" so the outside world doesn't intrude on your time.


      ​4. Props & Household Alternatives

      If you have Yoga props, grab your mat, blocks, strap, and bolster. If you don't, here is how to improvise with what you have at home:

      • ​Yoga Mat / A non-slip rug or carpet (just be careful with socks!).
      • ​Blocks / Sturdy hardcover books or a small step stool.
      • ​Strap / A bathrobe tie, a belt, or a long scarf.
      • ​Bolster / Couch cushions, firm bed pillows, or a rolled-up blanket.

      Virtual Class Waiver & Release of Liability


      ​1. Nature of the Activities

      I understand that I am participating in a virtual "Zoom" class offered by Luminous Path Yoga and Wellness. I understand that these sessions differ from in-person instruction and will include Gentle Yoga, Somatic movement, Breathwork (Pranayama), and Sound Therapy elements designed to soothe the nervous system.

      ​2. Voluntary Participation & Health Warranty

      I acknowledge that all participation is voluntary. I represent that I am physically fit and have no medical condition that would prevent my full participation in these virtual classes. I agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages, known or unknown, which I might incur as a result of participating in the program.

      ​3. Virtual Environment (Home Safety)

      I acknowledge that because this class is being conducted remotely, the Instructor is not present in the room and cannot control my environment. I agree that I am solely responsible for:

      • ​My Space: Clearing a safe space to move, free of obstacles (furniture, pets, slipping hazards).
      • My Limits: Listening to my body and modifying or resting if I feel pain or discomfort.
      • ​No Supervision: I understand that the Instructor may not be able to see my full body or provide hands-on adjustments via Zoom. I agree to self-monitor my movements and stay within my physical limitations.


      ​4. Recording & Privacy Policy

      • ​No Student Recording: To protect the privacy of all participants and the intellectual property of the Teacher, I agree NOT to record (audio or video), screen-capture, or distribute any part of the session.
      • ​Instructor Recording: I understand that the Instructor may record the session for future use. The Instructor agrees to record only their own video feed (using "Spotlight" mode), ensuring that student video feeds are not included in any distributed recordings.

      ​5. Technology

      I understand that technical issues (internet connectivity, audio/video quality) may occur and do not constitute a breach of service. If I am disconnected, I will attempt to rejoin or practice safely on my own.

      ​6. Release of Liability

      In consideration of being permitted to participate in these virtual classes, I knowingly, voluntarily, and expressly waive any claim I may have against Luminous Path Yoga and Wellness, its owners, and instructors for injury or damages that I may sustain as a result of participating in this virtual offering.

      7. Cancellation Notice

      We do not offer refunds for missed classes. Kindly cancel any class that you have signed up for, but cannot attend six (6) hours or more before the scheduled class time to free up the schedule for those on the wait list.

      If the class is cancelled for any reason, we will refund your payment or you can choose to use it as credit for a future class.
