Intro to BTC: This session is designed for educators new to Building Thinking Classrooms. Participants will experience BTC practices firsthand, unpack the research that grounds them, and examine how these practices shift student thinking, agency, and classroom culture. Whether you are classroom-based or supporting instruction, this session will provide a clear entry point into the BTC model and connect you with others beginning their BTC journey.
Coaching: This session is for those directly supporting teachers with the implementation of BTC. Participants will observe live coaching demonstrations, practice high-leverage coaching moves, and explore how BTC-focused coaching fits within a coherent model of instructional improvement.
Leading: This session is intended for school and district leaders responsible for guiding instructional improvement efforts such as BTC. Participants will examine the organizational conditions required to support meaningful change, explore the distinction between direct and indirect instructional leadership, and analyze the routines and structures that sustain progress over time.
