Wood Badge is the premier Scouter training offered by Scouting America. Participants receive top-tier education in skills including listening, communicating, conflict management, project planning, and leading change. These skills will benefit your unit, workplace, and family.
Participants will also make life-long connections with fellow Scouters from the region while interalizing the 5 themes: Living the Values, Growing, Connecting, Guiding, and Empowering.
IMPORTANT PARTICIPANT INFORMATION:
- Any registered adult Scouter who has completed basic training for their registered position and serves in a position that leads or supports Scouting can attend.
- Crew/Ship members 18+ are also eligible to attend.
- Safeguarding Youth Training must be current by August 28th.
- Must have a current Scouting America Annual Health and Medical Record form parts A, B, and C.
- Participants will need a full official field uniform (shirt, pants, belt, socks).
- It is recommended that participants have had at least one year of camping experience. While Wood Badge is not an outdoor skills course, it is important that each participant have basic camping and outdoor cooking experience.
- A $50 non-refundable deposit must accompany the participants application to complete registration. Full tuition must be paid in full by JULY 27th. Total cost is $350.
- Payments may be made online by credit card, google pay or apple pay. Payments may also be made by mailing payment to 2215 23rd Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634. Please include participant name with payment. Units that would like to pay using their Unit Account, please contact Jeanene in the Greeley office.
