  • La Semana Alegre at Hemisfair will take place on Thursday, April 23 from 5pm - 11pm and Friday, April 24 from 5pm - 11pm.

    WE DO NOT ACCEPT DRINK VENDORS FOR THIS EVENT


    We accept a small number of food vendors including pre-packaged food.
    There is a fee to participate.

    All vendors will be expected to provide the following:

     

    • All necessary equipment needed for your booth space.
    • All staff needed to operate your booth space.
    • All cleaning supplies and a handwash station for your booth space.
    • To follow all the San Antonio Metro Health Department guidelines for temporary food establishments. Find more information here: https://www.sa.gov/Directory/Departments/SAMHD/Licenses-Food-Permits/Mobile-Vending-Temporary/Market-Trade-Show
    • All San Antonio Fire Department guidelines for temporary food booths.
    • To operate a clean and presentable food booth.
    • To clean-up the food booth space post event.
    • To dispose of grease and oil in the appropriate receptacle at the event and not in the dumpsters.
    • To treat the venue with respect and follow venue protocols.
    • To follow event protocols for load-in and load-out.
    • To remain orderly and compliant with state and local laws.


    Insurance:

    All food vendors must maintain and carry insurance for the event.  Food vendors will need to submit proof of insurance as a certificate of insurance (COI).Submit a COI (certificate of insurance) listing the following as additionally insured:

    The La Semana Alegre at Hemisfair will provide:

    • 10'x10' space at the event 
    • For Cooking Vendors Only: 10' x 10' food booth tent structure with weights 
    • Listing on festival website and app
    • (1) 30-amp power drop
    • Any necessary Health and Fire Permits
       

    Sales:

    • Vendors retain 100% of your profits and are responsible for paying their own sales tax. 
    • Vendors must show proof of Texas Resale Certificate in order to participate. Find more information here: https://comptroller.texas.gov/taxes/sales/forms/

    Fees:

    • $5 non-refundable application fee. 
    • Food vendor fees are $1500 (includes health/fire permit where applicable and electricity fee)
    • Pre-packaged food vendor fees are $552 (includes health permit and electricity fee)

    Load-In Details:
    Details will be advanced with all participating roasters leading up the event.

    All on-site Art Vendors will maintain a minimum $1,000,000.00 per occurrence / $2,000,000.00 General Aggregate in General Liability Insurance and if requested, will provide a COI naming Galaxy Productions, Hemisfair and SATX Inner City Development as additionally insured.All food vendors must maintain and carry insurance for the event.  Food vendors will need to submit proof of insurance as a certificate of insurance (COI).Submit a COI (certificate of insurance) listing the following as additionally insured:Galaxy Productions LLC314 El Paso St.San Antonio, TX 78207; Hemisfair630 E.   • By signing below, I acknowledge that:

    • I/we understand the responsibilities and liabilities associated with participating as a vendor at La Semana Alegre at Hemisfair held on April 23 and 24 (the "Festival").
    • I/We agree to follow all Festival policies and safety procedures.
    • I/We agree to release and hold harmless City of San Antonio, Galaxy Productions LLC, the Festival, and any of their employees, volunteers, artists, agents or other organizers, and the owners or management of the grounds or location where this event is held, from any loss, damage, claim, or injury resulting from participating in La Semana Alegre at Hemisfair.
    • I/We are aware that our group/business is responsible for any damages or missing items that are assigned to us by the Festival or that are brought with me/us to the Festival.

    This release is granted on behalf of me, my company and any minors participating in the Festival for which I am the legal guardian, caretaker, or are otherwise in my custody or care at the event. The Festival reserves the right to reassign exhibit/roaster/vendor space so as to ensure the safety and/or convenience of the Festival participants. The Festival reserves the right to exclude any company or individual from participation. I/We specifically grant the City of San Antonio, Galaxy Productions LLC, the Festival, and any of its assignees all rights and interests in photographs, videos and other depictions of the Participants arising out of the participation in the Festival. I/We understand that said depictions or reproductions may be used in various types of media, advertisements, and promotions although this language shall in no way limit other uses. Participants acting as a group may sign same waiver.
