This course will earn .5 credits of the one-credit graduation requirement for Physical Education. This course is designed to introduce and develop skills of various team activities. These activities will include: tennis, badminton, volleyball, basketball, team handball, kickball, wiffle ball, floor hockey. Man the games played in this class are games that students can continue to play beyond their academic careers as a way to maintain lifelong fitness and healt CPR and AED training will also be included in this class. Students enrolled in Summer School may repeat this course for additional credit. After registration closes, the teacher will reach out with additional details. This session runs Monday-Thursday mornings from 8:15 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
This is a hybrid course. This course meets the .5 credit computer literacy graduation requirement. The class meets in person on Mondays from 8:15 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Students communicate with the teacher remotely and complete coursework online Tuesday - Thursday. Information and Technology Literacy is designed to empower students with the knowledge and skills they need to navigate the digital world responsibly and efficient. Throughout the course the students will engage in exercises to enhance their understandings of Google Applications (Sheets, Documents, Forms, Slides), coding, and graphic design. Students will also learn skills on how to be safe on the internet, on how to have a positive digital trail, and how to recognize reliable sources. The goal is to be well equipped to navigate the digital world both creatively and professionally, and to design and create in the digital sphere. NOTE: Students must bring their own devices. Check the BYOD requirements on the NDA website for more information. After students are registered, the teacher will reach out with additional details. Students must be able to self-pace, complete assignments on time, communicate well with the teacher, and have consistent access to reliable internet.
