About the Women’s Empowerment Celebration The Women’s Empowerment Celebration was created to recognize and honor women who are making meaningful contributions to their communities through leadership, service, and advocacy. This event is hosted through a collaborative partnership between Sunflowers Wellness LLC Sunflower Turn Initiative, T&L Enterprises NC, and SWA Nonprofit—three organizations dedicated to community empowerment and outreach. Each organization shares a mission to uplift communities by supporting initiatives that focus on: • Youth mentorship and development • Community outreach and charitable giving • Mental health awareness and education • Family and wellness support programs Funds raised through this event will support community programs such as toy drives, youth initiatives, school supply drives, wellness workshops, hygiene donations, and outreach services for families and individuals in need. Through collaboration and service, these organizations continue working together to plant seeds of empowerment that strengthen communities and inspire future generations.

Linda Winston Memorial Scholarship: In loving memory of Linda Winston, a devoted mother and unwavering supporter of her children’s pursuits, we proudly announce the Linda Winston Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship honors her enduring legacy of encouragement and dedication by recognizing two outstanding student-athletes at Lumberton Senior High School. Linda Winston was a fierce advocate for her children’s dreams, always present to support them whenever her health allowed. Her son, Corey Winston, built a long-standing and successful career in wrestling, and learned life long lessons that helped him to be successful in life beyond the mat. Today, as a Lumberton Senior High School wrestling parent and active supporter of the wrestling program, Corey seeks to honor his mother’s legacy by empowering student-athletes through this scholarship.
