The Hair We Go Teen Hair Braiding Class is a youth education program operated under Village Against Violence (VAV). By registering a student and submitting payment, the parent or legal guardian agrees to the following terms and conditions.
Registration and Payment
Full payment is required at the time of registration to confirm a seat.
Registration is not complete until payment is received. Seating is limited to students and is filled on a first paid basis.
Program fees
Bring Your Own Mannequin Option, $65
Students must bring a full size mannequin suitable for braiding. No mannequin will be provided for this option.
Mannequin Included Option, $85
Includes a mannequin for the student to take home.
All students will practice on mannequins during class. Village Against Violence and Hair We Go are not responsible for incomplete participation if a required mannequin is not brought.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
All payments are non refundable, including no shows and same day cancellations, unless the class is canceled by Village Against Violence.

Date: Monday, February 16, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Location: Richmond, VA ( provided to registered students)
Ages: 10 to 17
Skill Level: Beginner friendly. No experience required.
Instruction includes an introduction to knotless braiding, hands on practice, and Practical Infection Control education supported by Milady curriculum resources. Students will receive a Hair We Go Certificate of Completion.
This program is educational only and does not provide state cosmetology licensure or certification hours.
Drop Off, Pickup, and Transportation
This class is drop off and pick up only. Parents and guardians may not remain on site during class.
Students will be released only to authorized individuals listed on the registration form. Identification may be requested.
If a student uses a ride service such as Uber or Lyft, parent or guardian approval is required. Village Against Violence and Hair We Go are not responsible for third party transportation.
Student Conduct
Students are expected to follow class rules and treat instructors and peers with respect. Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in removal from the class without refund.
Health and Safety
Parents or guardians must disclose any medical conditions or allergies in advance. In the event of an emergency, parents or guardians will be contacted immediately.
Media Release
Photos or videos may be taken during class for promotional purposes for Hair We Go and Village Against Violence. No personal identifying information will be shared publicly. Parents may opt out of media use on the registration form.
Limitation of Liability
Village Against Violence (VAV), Hair We Go, its staff, volunteers, and partners are not liable for injuries, loss, or damages except where required by law.
