Carbondale Mountain Fair | July 24-26
Application for 2026 Oasis Activity Vendor
Mountain Fair's Oasis Block Party is taking over Main Street again!
The Oasis includes a music stage, an activity tent and lounge, art vendors, food trucks, cooling-mist stations, immersive and creative activities and more. In addition to these, Mountain Fair is seeking other partners such as schools, non-profits, and youth organizations to get involved and set up their own activity tent or area. We are seeking activities that are creative, playful, and engaging.
A great example is the Kids Carnival, hosted by the Carbondale Community School. They’ve added lots of fun to the fair with bounce houses, dunk tanks, carnival games, and more. It also serves as a fundraiser for CCS, with a small entry fee.
Carbondale Mountain Fair is held the last FULL weekend in July. 2026 dates are July 24, 25, 26.
Criteria for Applying
All applications will be reviewed and selected by the Mountain Fair Directing Team, Carbondale Arts Staff, & the Oasis Volunteer Supervising Team.
Eligible applicants include youth, art, or education organizations, and institutions who can provide safe, engaging, playful, creative, and family-friendly experiences.
Mountain Fair celebrates art in all of its forms. Activities could include: creative games, friendly or collaborative contests, arts & crafts, story-making/telling, mazes, portable playgrounds (e.i. Bouncy castles, Zorbing), etc.
*Note: If an applicant wants to provide food, food must be pre-packaged and follow the Garfield County Public Health guidelines, as well as our Zero Waste Protocols. If you’re interested in selling food consider applying as a food vendor here.
Oasis Activity Booth applicants must provide everything needed in order to host their activities, including but not limited to a 10x10 or 10x20 shade tent with water barrels or sandbags for weight, tables, chairs, and point of sales systems, wifi hotspots, and a perimeter if needed. Electricity may be provided but is not guaranteed.

Fee Structure
Application Fee: $ 20.00 (due now, non-refundable)
Activity Area Reservation Fee: $200 (due upon acceptance)
*Why all these fees? As you already know, the Carbondale Mountain Fair has been free and commercial-free for 54 years, and we’d like to keep it that way! However, Mountain Fair incurs a considerable cost to ensure permits, safety, waste management, entertainment, and more. Plus, at its heart, it’s a fundraiser for Carbondale Arts!
WiFi
Personal WiFi HotSpots HIGHLY recommended!
Zero Waste
Carbondale Mountain Fair is committed to Zero Waste. All vendors must use compostable packaging materials and all garbage stations will have containers for organic waste, recycling, and garbage.
