IMPORTANT: The 2026 Farmers Market schedule for Youth Makers is currently full.

We’re incredibly grateful to see how much this program has grown and appreciate the enthusiasm from our community! We are always exploring additional opportunities to engage young artists throughout the year.

Unless you have already communicated with WAC staff, this registration form should be used to register your Youth Maker for First Friday Art Crawls and other non-Farmers Market events only.

Farmer's Market Participation: We’re changing our process this year. Instead of a first-come, first-served RSVP system, we will be piloting assigned event dates for Youth Makers Markets in 2026.

Below, you’ll find all Farmers Market dates that include Youth Makers Markets (held on the second and fourth Saturdays from May through October). Please select all dates your Youth Maker(s) are available to attend.

Selecting dates below does not confirm participation on those dates. Your availability will be used by WAC staff to assign event dates, and you will receive an email in the coming weeks (or as quickly as possible, if submitting after the season has started) with your final assigned dates based on the information provided in this form.

If you have multiple Youth Makers and only some can attend on a specific date, please still select that date and explain your situation in the comments section below. Otherwise, we will assume all kids submitted in your form are interested in the dates selected.

First Friday Participation: RSVPs are not required for First Fridays this year. By completing this general registration form, you will automatically be included in First Friday email communications so your Youth Maker knows how to participate.

For First Friday set-up:

- Youth Makers should set up outside along the sidewalks in front of the Turchin Center.
- Set-ups may not block the stairs.
- Set-ups are not permitted in the covered patio area, as the Turchin uses that space for its own programming.
- Youth Makers may set up anywhere else along the Turchin Center storefront, provided their display does not force pedestrians to step into the street to pass.

Please select Farmers Market dates you hope to have your Youth Maker participate. You can contact us if these dates need to change so we can open dates for other youth!

Comments, questions, concerns

I acknowledge that selecting available dates above DOES NOT register me for those dates, but instead indicates my availability so WAC staff can assign event dates accordingly. I understand that my assigned event dates will be sent to the email provided in this registration form at a later date.

I acknowledge and understand that if I am no longer able to participate on an assigned date, I will notify WAC staff at admin@watauga-arts.org as soon as possible. WAC cannot guarantee a make-up date for missed events but will do their best to accommodate when possible.
