Peanut Allergen Warning
At Seattle Humane, peanut products may be found in any area where animals are present, especially with dogs. Peanut butter is commonly used to provide enrichment and medication, and program participants may come in contact with these products or animals who have recently consumed these products while at the shelter. While peanut products are uncommon in cat and small critter areas, there is shared equipment and laundry between species that may carry a risk of peanut exposure. Families should contact Education Services staff BEFORE registering if they have questions about their child's ability to safely participate in activities.

Scholarship Policy
Seattle Humane aims to expand inclusive access to our premium education services. To support our goal of fostering compassion for animals and our community, we provide financial assistance through need-based scholarships. These funds are designed to minimize economic obstacles, ensuring all students have the opportunity to join our programs regardless of their financial situation.
Families may request a scholarship by emailing educationservices@seattlehumane.org. Applicants will be asked to select the scholarship level that best reflects their financial need.
Seattle Humane does not require income verification or financial documentation. We operate on an honor-based system and ask families to contribute as much as they feasibly can toward program fees.
