The Radio Short Range Certificate (SRC) accredited by the Irish Department of Transport is the minimum qualification required to operate both fixed and handheld marine VHF radio equipment on an IRL flagged vessel. This includes equipment with and without Digital Selective Calling (DSC).
Course Duration:
Friday evening February 6th, 1930 - approx. 2200
Saturday all day, February 7th, 0900 - approx. 1800
For the exam on Saturday you must have the the following with you: Original Birth Certificate of Passport, and two passport photographs.

Written examination: 50 minutes
Oral examination: 15 - 20 minutes for each candidate
Examiner: MRAU appointed external examiner.
