Weather & Force Majeure
• The event is scheduled to take place rain or shine.
• No refunds will be issued due to inclement weather, unfavorable conditions, or individual decisions not to attend, provided the event proceeds as scheduled.
• In the event the festival is officially cancelled in its entirety by the organizing nonprofit or by a governing authority (including but not limited to severe weather, public safety concerns, government orders, or public health emergencies), all application fees will be refunded.
• Delays, modifications, reduced hours, or changes to programming do not constitute cancellation and do not entitle participants to a refund.
Artwork Requirements
• All exhibited artwork and craft items must be original, created or designed by the artist.
• The sale of mass-produced or commercially manufactured items not designed, crafted, or repurposed by the artist is not permitted.
• Acceptable categories include:
Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Fine Crafts, Graphics/Drawing/Printmaking, Mixed Media, and artist-designed printed books or media.
• This is a family-friendly event. Artwork inappropriate for young children may not be openly displayed.
Application Fees & Review
• The Roselle Park Loves Arts Inc. Art Festival Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any application deemed inappropriate for the festival. All decisions are final.
• Submission of payment constitutes payment for administrative processing, jury review, event planning, and logistical costs, regardless of acceptance, attendance, or outcome.
• By submitting payment, the applicant/vendor agrees not to file a chargeback or payment dispute for any reason related to non-selection, non-attendance, dissatisfaction, weather conditions, or event circumstances.
Booth & Equipment
• Artists/crafters are responsible for providing their own tables, display stands, and/or tents.
• Tents must be EZ-Up style, no larger than 10' x 10' unless prior written approval is granted.
• All tents must be properly weighted (minimum 40 lbs per leg) and secured to the street’s blacktop.
• Electricity is not provided unless approved in advance. Requests must be noted in the application. Availability is very limited.
Set-Up & Breakdown
• Set-up access is 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. via Chestnut Street and Grant Street from the Locust Avenue (west) side.
• All booths must be fully set up and vehicles removed by 11:30 a.m.
• No vehicles will be allowed on Chestnut Street after 11:30 a.m. or before 7:00 p.m.
• Load-out begins promptly at 7:00 p.m.
• A site map and additional instructions will be emailed approximately one week prior to the festival.
• Roselle Park Loves Arts reserves the right to amend set-up or breakdown procedures due to weather or other conditions.
Conduct & Cleanliness
• Artists/vendors are responsible for maintaining clean and sanitary booth spaces.
• Recycling and waste removal are the responsibility of each artist/vendor.
• Any artist/vendor or representative behaving inappropriately toward festival staff, volunteers, or attendees will be required to leave immediately.
Liability & Permissions
• The artist/vendor agrees to hold Roselle Park Loves Arts Inc. and the Borough of Roselle Park harmless and assumes all risks associated with participation.
• Participants agree to follow all safety guidelines and instructions issued by the Roselle Park Police, Fire, and Health Departments, as well as festival volunteers.
• Roselle Park Loves Arts Inc. is granted permission to use images of exhibited work for festival promotional purposes.
No-Show Policy
• Vendors who fail to attend, arrive late, leave early, or otherwise do not fully participate in the event forfeit all fees paid.
• Failure to attend the event does not constitute grounds for a refund or chargeback.
• If you can't attend the festival, please let us know ASAP.
Food Sales & Distribution
• Artists and vendors applying under this application are not permitted to sell, distribute, sample, or give away food or beverages of any kind.
• Food sales and food-related vendors require a separate application, appropriate food permits, and a current health inspection as required by the municipality.
• Any participant found selling or distributing food without proper authorization and permits will be required to immediately cease such activity and may be asked to leave the event.
• Removal for violation of this policy does not entitle the participant to a refund, and all fees will be forfeited.
