This starting course in the Certified Lay Ministers curriculum, Certified Lay Minister Foundations, is required to become a CLM in the Global Methodist Church (GMC). By the end of this course, you will have a firm foundation and understand the essentials of the Bible (scripture), how the GMC came to be (our history), what we believe (our theology), and how we are organized (our polity). The new GMC Book of Doctrines and Discipline (BODD) outlines the requirements for lay ministry; this course fulfills a portion of that requirement.
Session 5: First meeting January 26th, at 7:00 pm Central time. Weekly sessions meet for 90 minutes.
The course is offered entirely online using software provided by Oklahoma Wesleyan University (OKWU). The course meets asynchronously beginning on January 26th with required synchronous (live) meetings on the following five consecutive Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm Central time. (Jan 29th, February 5th, Feb 12th, Feb 19th, and Feb 26th). You must have access to a computer to participate. The non-refundable course fee of $30 does not include course books which must be ordered separately.
