POWER IN NUMBERS
WHAT: Power in Numbers is a curated, group show about unity, about togetherness. It's about the strength of hearing or seeing your statement echoed. About knowing you're not alone in your message, and in your meaning.
This year your application comes with a plus one.
Application details:
You may submit up to 3 different works of art for us to choose from.
(Please avoid submitting work that has been featured in a BOS show previously.)
We will select one for inclusion in this year's Winter Weekend.
Along with your work, please submit one work by someone else. If you are selected for the show, this work will be displayed alongside yours.
The work that is not your own may be in some way related to your work, contextually or visually,etc. It can be similar, or it can be totally unrelated.
Please provide a short explanation of why you choose the work you are submitting alongside your own.
Please make sure the artist signs off on the application and that you have access to their work for drop off.
WHEN: The weekend exhibition will be on view from 12-6pm, February 14-15 with an opening reception on February 13, 6-9pm.
WHERE: The Yard, 4 Hanna Lane, Beacon, NY.
There will be live music, refreshments and hors d'oeuvres.
WHY: We hope the show encourages you to extend a hand, and bring someone else into the room. Please bolster a fellow artist or support a friend. If there is someone whos art you've admired from a distance, may this empower you to reach out and offer them a coversation and an opportunity.
•Submissions close: January 25.
Artists will be notified by EOD January 31. Instructions for artwork drop off and pick up will be emailed. Drop off will take place on February 7+8, installation will take place the week of February 10. Please plan accordingly. Please do not submit work that will not be ready for drop off.
The show will be de-installed on Monday, February 16. Artwork will be available for pick up that day, and on select days that week. Additional information will be emailed with your acceptance notice.

•The application fee is on a sliding scale, $10, $20, $30.
Fees are a direct donation to Beacon Open Studios. The fee pays for submission form website hosting, as well as any show installation materials. We try to keep the fees minimal but if you are unable to pay and would like to participate, please reach out!
•Work submitted for the show must be available, preferably for sale and ready to hang. If the work is chosen and it is not available, other work will NOT be accepted in its place.
• If you know you will not be available during drop off days, prior to install, please do not apply.Unfortunately, we will not be able to delay installation.
•The Yard will receive 10% of any sale. BOS does not take a commission. Artists will be paid via check, please make sure to provide your address.
•Images that are submitted may be used for promotional purposes for the event.
•Please make sure all submitted files are clearly labeled with your name and artwork title.
SIZE LIMIT: 4'x5' of wall or floor space. If your work is slightly larger or is projection based, please reach out prior to submitting the form.
