Thank you for saddlin’ up and joining HIS Haven’s annual Chili Cook‑Off! We’re mighty excited to have you in the lineup.
đź•” Arrival & Setup
We ask that you mosey on over to the St. Wenceslaus Gym on February 14th and arrive by 4:45 PM so you’re all set and ready when the taste‑testers ride in at 5:00 PM.
🍲 What to Bring
Please bring at least 2 gallons of your best chili, hot and ready to serve in a crock pot. We’ll provide the rest of the gear:
- 2 oz ladles
- Electricity
- Tables
- Sample cups
- Spoons
- Napkins
🔥 Serving Rules
- Your chili must be served as‑is, no fixin’s or extras on the side.
- You are responsible for serving your chili (or having a trusty stand‑in) from 5:00–6:00 PM.
- All chili servers/contestants must be 18 or older, or accompanied by an adult.
- To keep judging fair across the herd, all chilies must have a red‑sauce base—no white‑sauce or cream‑based recipes this round.
