  • Bonding Through Trick Teaching is all about strengthening the connection between you and your dog while having a whole lot of fun along the way. In this upbeat class, teams will work through tricks appropriate to their level, building communication, confidence, and teamwork in a positive, encouraging environment. Trick training is a fantastic way to boost focus, provide mental enrichment, and help dogs shine as eager learners. This class celebrates creativity, progress, and shared success. Laugh, learn, and discover just how much fun training together can be!

Teams will have the option to get tested for their AKC Trick Dog title corresponding to the class level entered.

The instructor for this session is Donna Dombek. She will be assisted by Sierra Archer and her dog Sitka.

After passing the test handlers will need to submit documentation to the AKC and pay the $32 title processing fee to the AKC to receive the title.

While this class is open to all dogs, to earn an AKC title dogs must have an AKC, PAL, or AKC Canine Partners number.

  • Every great trick starts with a strong foundation! In this fun, upbeat class, you and your dog will learn the fundamentals of trick training using positive reinforcement, shaping, luring, and capturing techniques. As your dog masters beginner-friendly tricks like spin, high five, balance beam, crawl, and get in, you'll build confidence, improve communication, and strengthen your bond along the way. Whether you're looking for a fun new activity or working toward your dog's AKC Novice Trick Dog title, this class is the perfect place to get started.

Prerequisite: Completion of STAR Puppy, CGC, or other basic obedience class recommended. Dogs should have basic manners and be comfortable working around other dogs and people. No prior trick-training experience is required.

In this intermediate class, we’ll build on the skills from Novice by using shaping, luring, and capturing techniques to unlock an even more impressive bag of tricks. Your dog will gain confidence, sharpen their focus, and strengthen their bond with you—all while learning exciting new moves like catch, go to your place, roll over, shell game, and sit pretty. This is where your teamwork shines, and your dog’s personality takes center stage!

Prerequisite: Completion of Novice Trick Dog class or AKC Novice Trick Dog title.

You'll work toward exciting tricks like hide your head, cover up with a blanket, get the mail, and pick up your toys—all while building teamwork, focus, and that extra “wow” factor.
